"Dean?" I heard my father's voice.

I looked up and saw him walking down the hospital hallway. I should have known that he has friends in the hospital who would have told him if I showed up.

I wiped my eyes and stood up. "Yes, sir."

He came up to me and hugged me. "I thought you were hurt. What happened?"

"I went to Cas's."

"What?" He stepped back and his expression hardened.

"Dad," my voice squeaked. "He tried killing himself." More tears fell and I couldn't breathe through my nose.

"He.. What?"

"He took a bunch of pills." I wiped my eyes again but only managed to smear the tears across my face.

He sighed and hugged me again. "And you brought him here right away?"

"No, sir. I made him puke some up."

"You made him puke?"

"Stuck my hand down his throat."

He nodded and looked like he was considering it. "That'd do it."

"Mr. Winchester?" A nurse came up.

"Yes?" My dad turned to her.

"Oh, uh, Mr. Dean Winchester," she smiled. "He said it was his boyfriend and frankly you're a little too old for him aren't you?" She tried to make a joke but the seriousness of the matter made the attempt sad.

"Is Cas going to be alright?"

"Yes, he'll be just fine. We assume most of the medication he took has already left his system because of your actions. His stomach will be pumped to be sure and he should be up and about within the next two days."

"His stomach will be pumped?" I felt like gagging.

"Yes, to clean it out. It takes a little bit of time and if you hadn't been able to get him to throw up, the situation might be more severe and he'd probably have to have surgery. You should be happy, Dean, you saved his life."

She walked away after awhile and I didn't feel happy. My boyfriend was in the hospital and my dad was here and we'd probably never be able to be together.

"Dean!" I turned to the sound if my name and saw Cas's dad and Gabe running from the elevators.

"The nurse called us and told us what happened," Chuck said when he got to us. He wrapped me in his arms, "thank the Lord for you, Dean. Thank you."

"Were where you?" I asked. If they were home, none of this would have happened.

"We were at Church," Chuck didn't seem to notice my accusation. "If only I had made Castiel come with us this week. The Lord would have been watching over him. Though, in a way, I suppose he already was. He sent you."

He seemed to just notice my dad standing by us. He stuck his hand out, "Chuck Novak. Is this your boy?"

Dad shook his hand, "John, and yes it is."

Chuck nodded at him. "A fine young man he is."

Chuck and Gabe went off to see Cas. Stupid "family only" rule.

"I'm sorry I'm gay," I blurted once they were gone.

Johns sighed. "Don't be sorry for who you are, Dean. I wasn't mad at you for being gay. I just thought you were a bit too young to be dating."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but I guess you're more responsible than I gave you credit for. You can see the boy if you want to. Just.. Uh... Be safe."

Sex? He brings it up right now? The thing that's farthest from my mind when my boyfriend might have died.

But he's not going to die. I saved him. Maybe saving people was the family business.
