Dean had wrote down his address for Castiel before they went their separate ways.  Castiel hadn't noticed until after he arrived that the address was a motel name and room number.

He knocked on the door and a man opened the door a crack.  "Who are you?"

"Um, Dean invited me over..." Castiel said uncertainly.  Had Dean pulled a prank on him?

The man raised his chin, much like Dean had, and opened the door wider.  "This the kid you said was coming over?"

Castiel looked past the man, who must be Dean's father, and saw the greaser boy sitting on a couch inside.

"Yeah, that's him."

"I thought you said it was a girl.  Cas or something."

"Naw, he just has a girl's name."

"Alright," he gave a look of disapproval for the name, "well, I'm going to go lie down for a bit," the man said before entering a different room and closing the door.

"Hey," Castiel said as he came inside.  "Was that your dad?"

Dean nodded.  He was eating chips while watching a football game.

"Were you thinking about math?"

"What?" Dean laughed.

"You wanted me to tutor you..."

"Oh, right.  I changed my mind," Dean turned his attention back to the TV.

"So, what? You want me to leave or..?"

"Naw, you can stay if you want."

"Okay, what the heck? Why did you change your mind?"

"Because, Cas, I realized that I can't impress the old ball sack with grades, okay?!"

Castiel was somewhat appalled by the way Dean spoke of his father.  "Why not?"

"Because of Sammy.  He got a C today on a test and John told him, 'at least you tried'.  I get C's all the time and the only thing he's ever said about it was that I needed to get my head out of my ass and study more."

"Sorry, I missed something.  Who's Sammy?" Castiel figured that John was his father.

"My brother."

"Oh."

Dean got up and he smiled, "I've been thinking, since grades won't impress him, maybe I should try bringing home an impressive person.  Y'know?  Date someone he'll approve of!"

"Like who?"

Dean smiled wider, "Cas, what are your thoughts of gays?"

"Love's love.  Genders don't really make a difference.  But don't tell my parents I said that.." After a moment of thinking, he added, "how's this relevant?"

"Hey dad, c'mere.  I wanna tell you something!" He shouted towards the door.  He looked at Castiel and whispered, "just go with it."

"Yeah?" John opened the door with an annoyed look.

"Me and Cas are dating," he took his hand in his own.
