The day she had to go back wasn't happy at all.

She probably cried half her body reserves in water and Yuzuru could only hold her and reassure her as much as possible.

It was hard to leave now but it was part of the journey towards their happiness.

Unlike the flight to Japan, going back to her home country seemed to take days.

The flight was slow, boring, and incredibly taxing on her body.

Let's just say that Athena just wanted to lay in bed for the next 3 days when she finally arrived at the palace.

Not that she was that lucky.

As soon as she arrived home, an entourage consisting of her mother, cousins, and aunt seemed to have been waiting for her.

The Princess didn't know how to react or even what to expect. With them, you could never know, but it was rarely good.

"Whatever it is, I'm not in the mood." she said immediately at the women in the room.

"you will be."

"what do you want now?"

"I saw some videos on social media..." one of her cousins said.

"Okay... Good for you."

"did you know your boyfriend is Gay?"

Athena couldn't react for a few minutes, still trying to gather what the hell was going on.

"Is he?"

She held in her laughter and tried to take them seriously for a few seconds.

"The costumes, the sport... Everything makes sense now. He just wants our money, Athena. He's fooling you."

"Is that all?"

"He is dating a teammate, Spanish, I think."

Athena couldn't hold it in anymore and just started laughing uncontrollably.

"So you are telling me that Yuzu is dating Javier and marrying me for money?"

"yes."

"Do you have any idea how much money that man has? How much money he donates every year?"

"Not even near what we have, for sure."

"yes, but he already has more money than he knows what to do with. He doesn't need any more."

"He must have another reason then."

"Is this all you wanted from me?"

"yes, but..."

"I'm going to bed. Just accept that I'm marrying Yuzu and that is not going to change, no matter how many excuses you try to find. For a gay man, Yuzu certainly enjoys time with women."

She just left after saying those words. This was yet just another attempt to try to stop the wedding.

It was only getting more ridiculous as time passed, but it was just proof that they were getting desperate.

Athena was thankful to finally land on her bed after such a long trip. Even if her body was screaming for a shower, her concern was getting rid of the jetlag that was already consuming her body.

She fell asleep way earlier than she should have, but it was just hard to avoid after being in Japan for a week and a half.

Her dad was the one that woke her up after a few hours. He sat on her side of the bed and probably tried not to wake her up without much success as he watched her sleep.

When she woke up, Athena knew from his expression that this was about Yuzuru once again.

"How was your week?"

"Good... Japan is beautiful."

He didn't even lose any time before reaching the topic that had brought him there.

"We should start preparing things for the wedding. "

"Do we have to? Can't we do something small?" she whined slightly.

"With the relationship so public because of your mother, we don't have much of a choice."

Athena groaned in protest. She had just gotten back and was already handling all the stuff she had been delaying.

"What do I need to do?"

"Settle a date with Yuzu, that's the most important thing."

"I'll call him... Anything else?"

"Make sure it's soon. I don't trust your mom to behave on this. The less time she has to plot whatever is on her mind, the bigger our chances of having smoother planning."

Athena knew he was right, but that didn't mean she liked it.

And there were no doubts that Yuzuru wouldn't enjoy it either.

Obviously, he would just go along with it, knowing that it was a sacrifice that he had to make, but none of them enjoyed to expose their personal lives in that way.

She quickly looked at her watch and made the math to see what time it was in Japan before calling him. She didn't want to wake him up in the middle of the night.

It was late in Japan already, but Athena knew he always slept late and figured that her future husband would still be awake.
She wasn't wrong.

Yuzuru picked up the phone in seconds.

"Hey, princess. All settled in already?"

"oh, better than settled. As soon as I arrived, my best cousins decided to ambush me. Did you know you're gay?"

Yuzuru started laughing from the other side of the line and she smiled immediately.

"Am I now? I wasn't informed."

"yes, and apparently dating Javi."

"damn, they know too much, what will I do now?"

"Seriously now, It was too funny to ignore"

"I bet you still kept a straight face."

"Well, you know me... But when they got to Javi I couldn't hold it anymore."

"Everything is okay now?"
He knew her too well.

"yes, but you won't like why I'm calling you."

"Baby, I always love to hear your voice."

"I believe that, but we have to figure out a date for the Wedding. My dad wants to rush it."

"Rush?"

"He is worried about what my mom could do in despair and probably just wants to get it over with."

"hum... I mean... I'm kinda out of the game right now and have a few shows planned for the summer but August should be fine. This is if you think we can plan everything in time. After that, I enter the next season and it will probably be hard to get a week off"

"That is just the thing, my dad is already five steps ahead in planning a whole royal wedding... He just needs the date to finalize all the details"

"oh"

"yes, oh..."

"Can't we do something smaller?"

"I wish. It seems like everyone can't wait to see our wedding. There are already offers from the TV about who is going to get the coverage of the event."

"Holy shit."
Athena laughed at his reaction. "And here I thought that we would be hated on and you would have to abdicate"

"I know"

"well, we have to do it then... We can handle a whole day with cameras on our faces. I will send you my schedule and we can figure out the best day. We can do this."
