I feel dizzy and I press my side. I was stabbed. I rip my shirt in half and wrap it around the stab. My hair hangs in my face, tinted red from the blood. I hear a cannon and my head snaps up, Lindsay? I scramble up and another wave of grief washes over me. I eat a little bit of food and a little bit of water. I drift in and out of sleep. I wake up to snarling in the distance and a boy's yell.

The fallen tributes are shown in the sky, first is Lindsay. I'm so close. I can go home. I stand up and splash water on my face, I put my hair up in a pony tail and the front pieces fall out. I'm covered in dirt and blood but I'm ready to fight whoever comes out of the forest. Hopelessness rattles inside me as a boy runs straight for me. I have knives in my hand, I squeeze the handles. I whip one at him and it finds its target in his shoulder.

He yells and tackles me to the ground, I wiggle away and kick him in the face with a yell. He falls back and I pounce, I swing my knife and he blocks with his arms. He hits me in the head with something hard and I crawl back. I blink the black spots away and throw an axe at him, it cuts off his arm and he screams. He runs at me and I jump out of the way, I throw a knife at him and it hits him in the back. He screams and jumps at me, he pushes my head into the dirt and I scream through gritted teeth, I grab a near knife and stab him in the side over and over. He crawls back, I pant and stagger to my feet.

Something pounces on my back and I scream warm blood trickles down my back and I writhe under something. The boy falls to his knees and I crawl to him, tears blur my vision and I grab the boy's shirt. I stab him in the neck and pull him on me as a shield.
"I'm sorry, " I cry, I'm sorry I couldn't win and my vision goes.

OUT OF ARENA

"She's stable" A womans voice says and my eyes flutter open

"Hey" A familiar voice says and finnick comes into my view

"Finnick?" I ask and he hugs me, sitting me up. I cry into his shoulder
"You won" He whispers. Becketts gone.

"He's gone" I cry and his arms tighten
"I know"

"I thought I died" I sniffle
"Cache's heart stopped before yours" The lady says
"M-my heart stopped?" I ask and she nods grimly
"Thought we wouldn't have a victor" She mutters "I don't know what they were thinking" and she leaves, leaving me and Finnick alone. I don't say anything, what can I say? Ten people, ten children.
"Ten" I whisper, looking at the mirror. I don't recognize the girl looking back at me, her eyes are red with a craze in them and her cheeks hollow. Her hair is tinted red and brown and in a mess. I'm looking at a killer.
"What?" Finnick asks softly and I look at him
"I killed ten tributes. Ten children" My voice cracks and I stand up, Finnick grabs my arms
"Sit down" He says and I shake my head
"No"

"Y/n"
"Finnick" I snap "Let go of me" I say lowly and he does.

"You should prepare for you're interview" Finnick says, hands in his pockets "Caesar will ask you about Beckett and he'll bring up Rowan"

 "Wha-"

"There were bets in the capital" He says and I scoff

"I don't want to interview" I say and he shakes his head

"You have too"

"No, I don't a-and I will not talk about Beckett!" I say, getting upset "I-I will not let him be tainted by the games! He was the- I love him and he's mine. The-"

"Y/n" Finnick cuts me off "Whatever he asks you, you will answer. Beckett, the ten kids, your looks. Whatever it is. Got it?" He says sternly and I stare at him
