~Rachel's P.O.V.~

I wake up beside Marshall and he's still sleeping. He's sprawled completely across the bed, one of his legs draped over mine. He lays on his stomach, one of his arms stretched across my chest and the other shoved beneath the pillow. His face is squished against the pillow and he's snoring lightly. He looks good and I curse him for it. No one should look that flawless when they sleep. I watch him for a couple minutes just appreciating his appearance. The scar above his eyebrow is faded now, only a memory. I move the sheet down a little further and see the large jagged scar where the blade went in.
It tugs at my heart strings. I get hit with a wave of pain all over again. I could've lost him that day. It could've been the end of us, of him, of life. For whatever reason everything I've done, all my good karma, was used up to save him and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I glance down at my own stomach and see that it's raised. Stealthily maneuvering around Marshall I pull up my shirt a little bit. At the base of my stomach, a small bump is forming. It's been a little over a month and I'm beginning to show. It wasn't real to me until now. There's a child forming inside me. His child. I look back at Marshall who's still completely passed out. Deep deep down in my soul I know I'm looking at a future. Whether it be a husband or partner or baby daddy, that man is my future and I love him.
I smile to myself, moving his hand off of my chest. I deliberate with myself for a moment on whether I should wake him up or not. I decide to do it, he needs a birthday wake up call. In one swift motion I push on Marshall's side with all of my strength to flip him over and I swing my leg across his hips.

"Wake up birthday boy." I say, laughing.

Marshall groans inaudibly and I kiss his lips to silence him. He blinks for a couple seconds to wake himself up and then rubs his eyes. And then I see them, my most favorite things in the world. They should have a warning label, don't stare too long.

"What are you doing?" He laughs at me, placing his hands on my hips.

"Birthday wake up call haven't you heard of those?" I ask, pressing my hands under his belly button.

"I don't celebrate my birthday." He tells me. "And I don't usually have anyone in bed to wake me up."

"Well now you do, and we're gonna celebrate."

Marshall groans again and I lay down on top of him, kissing him again to silence the groaning. I grab his hands and lace our fingers together, pressing my lips down on his again. I rock my hips once slowly, really rubbing them against him and he easily overpowers me, forcing my touches to stop.

"No." He shakes his head.

"No what?" I ask in confusion, trying to get the kissing going again.

"I don't want to." Marshall lifts my leg off of him and let's me sit next to him. "I can't, not after the pull, its too soon."

"I'm better now baby." I lean down again pressing my hands back down on his chest. "Come on it's your birthday."

"I know Rachel." He takes my hands off of him and makes me lay down next to him. "I just don't want to risk anything, not today."

I huff out a frustrated breath. He won't even let me love him on his birthday. I flip around to face away from him and he snakes his arm around my waist. His palm rests on my stomach just over my bump. He kisses my neck innocently and presses his front to my back. I feel him in the small of my back. I knew he wanted me. I smirk to myself and then shift, purposely brushing my butt against him. He takes in a sharp intake of breath and holds it. I smile again. I allow a few seconds of leeway and then start intentionally rubbing on him.

"Stop moving so much." He tells me, shifting uncomfortably.

I don't stop, I just keep steadily bumping him. Marshall's hand clamps on my hip, holding me still. He turns me back on my back and I smile up at him. He looks frustrated with me. It wouldn't be a party unless the birthday boy threw at least one fit.
