Jeonghan nodded, "Yeah, sure", his gaze concealed curiosity, yet a glimmer of fear lingered, fully aware that Minghao was capable of anything to avenge his twin sister.
In the dimly lit room, containing only a bed and a solitary chair in the corner, the silence was broken only by the faint sound of Jeonghan's footsteps.
He walked cautiously, uncertainty marking his steps as he made his way towards the door.
On the other hand, Nabi felt more terrified than ever before. Her life had been far from easy until this point, but she had managed to cope and escape the haunting shadows of her past, reclaiming her sense of self.
Yet, it appeared that life was not done testing her resolve; it seemed to be mocking her, pushing her to the edge once again.
Tears streamed down her face, and the only sound in the room was her anguished cries. Overwhelmed with despair and a profound sense of helplessness, she felt utterly lost and without any semblance of control.
"W-who a-are you?", in a trembling voice, Nabi whispered, her words barely audible, as if afraid of her own vulnerability.
In response to Nabi's whispered words, he let out a sarcastic laugh, his amusement tinged with a bitter edge.
"Who am I? I am your nightmare now, just as you were mine for years—a haunting presence that refused to fade, even in my waking moments. And believe me, I will be the last person you'll ever see in this world", he spat in contempt, his gaze searching for her eyes in the darkness of the room, seeking to meet her gaze with his own defiant stare.
Nabi, overwhelmed by confusion and fear, mustered the courage to speak, though her voice still trembled with unease.
"Why are you doing this? You've mistaken me for someone else. I have nothing to do with you, and I never had." Her words carried a mix of desperation and denial, as she tried to distance herself from any connection to the person confronting her.
He burst into a loud, mocking laugh, seemingly amused by Nabi's attempt to deny any involvement. His laughter echoed through the dark room, filling it with a chilling atmosphere.
But his smile quickly vanished from his face as he rushed towards the bed where Nabi was crying. He reached out, his actions revealing a cold determination, causing Nabi to cry even harder, her soul tormented by the unfolding events.
The room seemed to close in on them as tension filled the air, leaving both of them trapped in an unsettling moment of raw emotions and fear.
Without any thoughts, he grabs her neck, choking her. Blinded by rage, her eyes filled with tears annoyed him even worse.
"You what? You think you are fucking inoccent huh?"
In the tense and distressing situation, Nabi felt overwhelmed and helpless. Her heart pounded as fear gripped her, but all she could do was silently pray for everything to be alright.
She desperately hoped that the situation would somehow diffuse and that she could escape unharmed.
In moments of uncertainty and danger, it's common for people to seek solace in prayer or any form of comfort.
Nabi's silent plea for safety and a positive outcome was an instinctive reaction to the threatening circumstances surrounding her.
She was gradually slipping into a state of unconsciousness. As she treaded the ethereal staircase of slumber, he stoped, leaving her breathless.
Gasping for air, Nabi's gaze desperately seeks Minghao's eyes only to find a dark gaze that hides a blend of pain and simmering anger.
His emotions erupt in a furious torrent, threatening to consume all in its path, closing his eyes, heaving breaths quicken, as if racing against time itself.
In an instant, Minghao's anger manifests, breaking the chair in the corner of the room to mere splinters, his intensity sends shivers down her spine, leaving her trembling with fear.
"Fucking bitch," he spats with a furious glare fixed upon her, he strode toward the door, leaving her in a tense silence.
Amidst desperate tears and a sense of helplessness, Nabi could only tenderly cradle her now wounded neck with her fragile, shackled hands.
"Hey, everything's good?" Seungcheol spoke, his voice a mix of curiosity and concern as he observed Minghao approaching the table where the boys sat.
Just like Jeonghan and everyone else, Seungcheol couldn't help but feel worried about Minghao.
"I'm afraid I'm dangerously close to destroy everything before the right moment arrives, hyung. I wanna kill her with my own hands, exactly the way she killed my sister, my better half.", he exclaimed with anger, snatching a glass of whiskey from the table and drinking it.
Every gaze in the room was drawn to him. The members had sensed this very response from him ever since he found her.
"I understand that you're going through a tough time, but you must remain patient, Minghao. Just as you have been all these years, and just as we, the others, have been patient. A little while longer, and your moment for revenge will come," Seungcheol reassured.
Upon hearing Seungcheol's words, Minghao finds solace, and his anger subsides.
"Fuck, I need more whiskey."
