ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚."You'll find me right where you left me, just a few centimeters below."
At that moment, the members discerned the depth of Minghao's feelings for her. They witnessed Minghao falling apart beside her, as she lay unconscious.
Now they comprehended the torment he endured. He was deeply in love with the woman accused of murdering his sister.
Minghao was crying and gently shaking Nabi, but his efforts were in vain. His voice trembled with desperation as he whispered, "Come on, Nabi, please, just open your eyes. Don't leave me. I beg you!" The room seemed to close in on him as he clung to hope, tears streaming down his face.
Seeing that her eyes remained closed, he couldn't contain his despair any longer. Minghao let out a deafening scream that echoed throughout the room, sending shivers down the spines of the members who had gathered, deeply concerned about his deteriorating emotional state.
Just as Minghao's scream pierced the air, the door swung open, revealing Mingyu with the doctor and a nurse in tow. "Minghao!" Mingyu shouted his name, but all he could see was a broken man, lost in his grief.
The doctor wasted no time; he hurried to Nabi's side and checked her pulse with a practiced hand. After a brief moment, he turned his attention to Minghao, who remained on the floor, kneeling beside her, clutching her hand tightly. The room held its breath, waiting for the doctor's verdict on her condition.
"The pulse is a bit weak," the doctor began, his voice calm, "and it appears she has lost a significant amount of blood. But, Minghao, don't worry. I will do everything in my power to save her," he assured, his words bringing a glimmer of relief to Minghao's heart.
The doctor wasted no time, immediately getting to work to stabilize Nabi. Meanwhile, Minghao rose from the floor, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand.
With a determined but gentle demeanor, he approached Nabi, leaning close to her face. Minghao lovingly brushed away her tears and placed a tender kiss on her forehead, silently praying for her recovery.
As the doctor and nurse continued their urgent work, the other members had already made their way out the door, understanding the importance of giving the medical team the necessary space.
Yet, Minghao remained steadfastly in the middle of the room, his gaze never leaving Nabi's unconscious form. Worried, anxious, and unable to tear himself away, he watched over her, his heart heavy with concern.
Jeonghan, with a compassionate understanding, turned back and noticed Minghao standing motionless. He approached his friend and gently placed a reassuring hand on Minghao's shoulder. "It'll be fine, Minghao," Jeonghan said softly. "Come with me. Let's take care of your hand," he suggested, carefully leading Minghao away from the intense scene, providing both physical and emotional support during this difficult time.
As they closed the door behind them, Jeonghan guided Minghao into the living room. Inside there, the other members sat in silence, their expressions troubled and disturbed by the events that had just unfolded.
"Minghao, come here," Joshua said, his voice warm and comforting. He gestured for Minghao to take a seat on the sofa, where they could tend to the wound in his palm. Despite the somber atmosphere in the room, the members came together, united by their concern and determination to support one another in this trying time.
While Joshua gently dressed his wound, Minghao sat in silence, his gaze fixed on nothing in particular. It was in this quiet moment that he allowed the weight of everything that had happened to sink in.
