After one month:
In the month that followed after Layla and Yusuf's marriage, their relationship seemed to maintain a semblance of normalcy on the surface.

They led busy lives, with Layla engrossed in her studies and Yusuf preoccupied with his office responsibilities. Both of them were absorbed in their respective worlds, and it seemed like they were simply coexisting rather than truly connecting.

Throughout this time, there were no major arguments or conflicts between them. However, their interactions remained somewhat distant, and they often found solace in silence rather than engaging in meaningful conversations. During mealtimes, they would sit together, but most of the time, their conversations revolved around casual topics, avoiding any deep or personal discussions.

While there was no open animosity or hostility between Layla and Yusuf, their relationship lacked the intimacy and emotional connection that one would expect in a typical marriage.

Yusuf and Layla were peacefully siting together, having breakfast just like any other day, Yusuf couldn't help but notice that Layla hadn't changed out of her night suit yet.

Curiosity getting the better of him, he asked, "Aren't you going to college today?"

Layla replied, "No, i am not feeling well. I have some stomach pain."

"What happened to your stomach? Are you feeling alright?"

"Yes I am fine it's just a mild pain nothing serious also ammi is coming today so i thought i should make something special for her, what about you?you are also not dressed like you are going to office"

"ohh yes,i thought i should also take a day off because of ammi"

"ohk." After having breakfast, Yusuf went to his study and immersed himself in his work, while Layla went in the kitchen preparing food for her Aafiya.

As she worked, Layla found herself lost in her thoughts, pondering, "It's been a month since Yusuf and I got married, but nothing has changed. My life feels strange, as if I'm trapped in a cage. I try to understand Yusuf, but it seems like he is distant from me. Ever since the wedding, he has been ignoring me. After all this time, he finally spoke to me today, but I don't know what he wants. Allah, please tell me what should i do now??. I want to give Yusuf a chance, give our marriage a chance, but perhaps Yusuf doesn't want that."

On the other hand, Yusuf was battling his own inner turmoil. "Uff, Layla, uff," he sighed to himself, "I can't seem to figure you out. For the past month, I've been keeping my distance from you because I fear that if I treat you the way your treated my sister, what would be the difference between me and your people? But I waited eight long years for this moment, eight years to exact my revenge, and yet your innocent face, your purity, is preventing me from carrying out my plan. Why did I marry you? If only there was another way I could have sought my revenge, but there isn't any way layla,You are the worst mistake of my life layla."

After spending some time contemplating his emotions and thoughts, Yusuf decides to make coffee for himself in the kitchen. As he enters, he notices that Layla is not there, and to his dismay, he sees that the stove is left unattended, with the food burning.

Worried and flustered, he calls out for Layla, but there's no response. He quickly rushes to turn off the stove and calls out for Layla again, a bit louder this time, hoping to hear her voice or any indication of her presence. But the penthouse remains eerily quiet.
