"(what marriage?)"

As the room fell into a tense silence, all eyes turned towards Layla, who stood there with a furrowed brow and an unmistakable anger etched on her face. Her gaze darted between her father and brother, silently urging them to provide an explanation.

"Baba, I'm asking you which wedding you are talking about?"

Her gaze was continously moving between her father and brother,

"Baba, I'm asking you which wedding you are talking about?" Layla's voice cut through the silence, her frustration palpable.

"Baba please answer me, bhai say something," she implored, her eyes searching for clarity.

"So your father didn't told you about the marriage?" Yusuf's voice broke the tension, drawing Layla's attention.

"If I knew, I wouldn't be standing here asking my father for answers right now" Layla retorted, her voice laced with frustration and disbelief.

Yusuf stood up from his place and stood in front of Layla, As he locked eyes with her, he couldn't help but get lost in the depths of her hazel eyes.

The swirl of colors, ranging from warm browns to hints of green and gold, reflected the complexity of her emotions. In that intense moment, he saw a mix of determination, defiance, and vulnerability in her gaze,The hazel eyes held a certain fire, a spark that ignited something within him.

Despite the situation, he couldn't deny the flicker of admiration that sparked in his own eyes as he observed her.

"That's all right i can tell you this instead of your father" - Yusuf said with a little mischievous smile.

Before Yusuf could continue, Roohan cut him off with a sharp command. "Yusuf shut up"

Ignoring her brother's protest, Yusuf persisted, "They are here to set the date of yours and m—"

But Layla's father intervened, delivering the truth with a solemn tone. "They are here to set the date of yours and Yusuf's wedding"

Layla's world seemed to spin as she processed her father's words. Her feet felt unsteady beneath her, and her heart clenched with apprehension. She was not interested in getting married.

However, after her brother's unsuccessful marriage, her heart became even more averse to the idea of marriage.she broke the eye contact with Yusuf and looked at her father who was now standing with an apologetic face.

"Baba, what are you saying? How can you arrange my marriage without even asking me?" Layla's voice trembled with emotion, her eyes searching for reassurance.

"Layla, our marriage was arranged eight years ago." Yusuf spoke again with a frustrated face.

Her father's apologetic expression did little to ease Layla's distress as she continued to press for answers. "And Baba, what if I deny it?"

Her father's response was clear and concise. "Then this marriage will not happen Layla."

Accepting her father's words, Layla made her decision known, her voice carrying a mixture of determination and resignation. "Mai is shadi sai inkar karti ho" (I refuse this marriage).

Saying this Layla ran away from the study room closing the door of the room with a loud thud, As Layla's footsteps echoed down the corridor, Yusuf's anger simmered beneath the surface, fueled by Layla's rejection. The loud thud of the closing door resonated in the study room, leaving Yusuf alone with his frustration.
