Layla's pov :

IIt had been a month since I found out about my pregnancy, and truth be told, I was genuinely happy. Even though I hadn't planned for a child initially, somewhere deep down, I had always wanted to experience the joy of motherhood. Now that I was pregnant, it brought an overwhelming sense of happiness, especially because it meant the completion of our little family with Yusuf.

Despite my initial reservations, Yusuf's parents insisted that we stay at their house, considering the comfort and safety it provided. My college had already started, but Yusuf, being the protective husband that he is, didn't allow me to attend physical classes. Instead, he had a conversation with the college head and arranged for my online classes, ensuring my safety and the well-being of our unborn child.

The mornings would start with Yusuf preparing a nutritious breakfast, taking care of every little detail to ensure my well-being. He would then set up a cozy corner for me to attend my online classes, making sure I was comfortable throughout the day. As I navigated through lectures and assignments from the comfort of our temporary home, Yusuf would occasionally check in, offering snacks or a warm cup of tea.

Despite being away from the hustle and bustle of college life, I found solace in the routine Yusuf had crafted for us. It wasn't just about attending classes; it was about the support and care he showered on me every day. The protective cocoon Yusuf had built around us made me feel cherished and loved.

In the evenings, after my classes were over, Yusuf and I would spend quality time together. We'd talk about our day, our plans, and the future with our little one on the way. Yusuf's excitement about becoming a father was palpable, and it added to the joy that surrounded us.

As the days passed, I started to realize that this unplanned journey of pregnancy had brought us even closer. The shared dreams and aspirations for our child created an unspoken bond between us. Yusuf's unwavering support, his efforts to make this phase comfortable for me, and the love he showered upon our growing family made me appreciate him even more.

Though I missed the traditional college experience, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unique moments and memories we were creating during this time. Yusuf had turned our temporary stay into a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the promise of a beautiful future together. In these seemingly ordinary moments, I found extraordinary happiness, knowing that our little one was already surrounded by love and care.

Today marked the last day of our stay at Yusuf's parents' house, and I decided to make it special by preparing a hearty breakfast for everyone. Despite their constant insistence that I shouldn't engage in household chores, I felt a sense of responsibility to contribute, even if just for today.

Early in the morning, I tiptoed into the kitchen, careful not to disturb Yusuf's parents, who were still enjoying their peaceful slumber. The aroma of brewing tea and sizzling omelets filled the air as I began my culinary adventure. I intended to make two of Yusuf's favorite breakfast items: tea on one burner and omelets on the other.

As the tea leaves infused the water, I found solace in the rhythmic sounds of boiling chai. The bubbles danced in the pot, creating a melody that echoed the subtle excitement within me. Meanwhile, the sizzle of eggs hitting the hot pan created a harmonious duet, and I couldn't help but smile at the thought of everyone waking up to a delightful breakfast.

The sun was still making its way above the horizon, casting a warm glow into the kitchen. The gentle morning light illuminated the countertops, turning the space into a canvas for my culinary creations. I felt a sense of joy and purpose in those quiet moments, knowing that I was doing something special for the people I had come to love as my own family.
