When Alma and I reached the desk the chair turned around to reveal a man who was wearing a suit and had blonde hair and had a moustache with the same colour of his hair above his mouth. The man looked at us seriously and gave us a glare but then he smiled as if he just ate the best thing ever.

"Ah hello little kids!-" he said to us like we were 5 year olds.

"We are not kids. We are 14." I cut him off

"Ah well sorry about that. Anyways welcome to my place! I will be providing you everything! A place to start a place to cook and eat-"

"Cook? Aren't you gonna provide food?" Alma says cutting him off again.

"Well my dear, there are a thousands of kids here and we can't just cook for them." He says, clearly angry.

"But isn't that what this place is fo-" Alma says as she is cut off by the Mayor who just brushes it off and continues talking.

He tells us how we should be on our best behaviour and don't ruin this place. He kept on giving a lecture. Really 'welcoming'. I didn't like him one bit and was regretting to come here already. He then leads us to the elevator and says that we have a happy stay here and will make sure that we don't miss our homes which was a bit suspicious. But I just ignored it and went in the elevator with Alma. She seemed to like the place and was looking forward to see our place where we'd be staying. I looked at the keys I was given and it said room 57 on 24th floor.

When we reached our floor, I looked around. It had lights on the walls and had a wooden floor with a red carpet similar to the one in Mr.Mayoris's office. There was a signs showing room no.s in each direction. I looked there and room 40-50 were on the left corridor and room 30-40 on the right corridor. Me and Alma walked to find out rooms and it was the third last room. I couldn't help but notice that this whole place was pretty much like a hotel.

I removed the key form my pocket and unlocked the door though I wasn't expecting that there would be someone on the couch sitting and watching the t.v. As soon as we unlocked the door a girl with brown hair with a pair of blue pants and a tie-dyed t-shirt sitting on a brown couch. Her hairs were pretty short and she had them opened. She looked at us and smiled.

"We were expecting you, the robots came in and told us that we were having roomates!" She said getting off the couch and approaching us.

"Saba?" Alma suddenly said to her.

"Hey Alma, hey Laura!" Saba said hugging both of us.

"You know how worried we both were?!" Alma said leaving the hug and almost in tears.

"I know I am really sorry, after I and Ava came her- "

"Ava? She's here too? How long?" I ask cutting her off, surprised.

"Yeah she's here too. She is in her room right now. We've been her for like 3 weeks. And sorry we couldn't message you guys, we just lost your contacts for some reason. We couldn't find them anymore. And we still don't have it." Saba finishes.

"We don't have anyone's except our parents and relatives." Ava says in a matter of fact tone as she gets out of her room.

"Ava!" I say as I go and pull her into a hug.

"Someone missed me. Come sit down and we will talk." Ava says as she drags me on a rectangular wooden table surrounded by 5 chairs. In the middle of the table, there was a fruit bowl with a bunch of bananas and two or three apples. Ava pulled out a chair for me and Alma. Saba sat beside Alma and Ava beside me.

They then launched into the explanation of when they arrived here, they decided that they'd tell us the next day that they are here and decided to unpack all their stuff and all. But the next day, when they were going to message, they couldn't find our contacts. And since none of them remembered our numbers neither our mom's, they couldn't do anything. They tried asking their parents but they never answered. So they just gave up hoping that we'd get to know some how.
