Escape From: The Mayor

After that sneaking out, everyone was pretty shocked. I mean come on, they were supposed to be expecting this. But since when I had seen those weird drawings in the office, I had been looking forward to the sneaking out thing. And when I asked Saba over breakfast, she just bluntly said no. I was really furious. Like why are they scared of the Mayor? There is nothing scary about him.

So yeah, 2 weeks had passed and I was getting bored on my phone. I was watching random things and that's when I received a text message. And I didn't have the person's number. They were asking to meet at the 20th floor in room 22. So if they wanted me to come, they gotta tell their name first.

Laura: who is this?

?: No one important. Just reply with a yes or no.

Laura: Bro, just tell your name and I'll come.

?: Seriously. Listen, I promise I won't kidnapp you just please come. I promise I'll change your life. IN A GOOD WAY. Not bad way.

Laura: Alright fine. Geez.

?: Oh and if possible could you come like right now?

Laura: Yeah sure I am jobless.

I put my phone down and get off my bed. I then pick out a cropped dark blue t-shirt and a pair of jeans.I put on my watch and tie my hair in a ponytail. Then I open my room's door and go out. I spotted only Saba on the table where we eat. I walk past them. I was really getting impatient. Who was this person? Should I be worried? But if they'd change my life in a good way, I'd take the chances. Saba removes her interest from her phone when she saw me walk past her.

"Laura, where are you going?" Saba asks me.

"Just taking a stroll around the building." I reply loosing my patience.

"Laura, don't you dare go snooping around the Mayor's office." Saba says.

"I won't."  I say adding smile and clench fists.

I then quickly leave Saba alone and proceed to go to the anonymous person. I went through the lift since I thought that the Mayor wouldn't mind me roaming around in the building. As the lift opened, I walked into it and I saw a robot inside it too. I then pressed the button to the floor 20. I noticed that the robot has pressed the button to the ground floor. So he must be heading to the reception or something. It had a bunch of files in its hands and was looking anywhere but at me. I wanted to question it but before I could, sadly, I had reached my destination.

When the elevator's door opened, I looked up to see at the signs which indicated the room numbers. Room 20 to 25 were on the right of me and rooms 15 to 20 were on the left to me. I then walked in the right direction to find room 22. After walking a few steps I found the room. It was a wooden black door like our room and had a metal handle like ours too. I looked at the small white doorbell on the left of the door and pressed it so someone could answer it.

The door was opened a few seconds later by a boy with a yellow hoodie with pretty messy brown hairs and light golden brown eyes which suited him a lot. He opened the door and just blankly stared at me. Then he leaned against the doorway. I just stared at him like a dumb person.

"Took you long enough to come." The boy said.

"Well, I was kept waited by my friends. So can you like tell me your name so I can add you in my contacts because, I got a feeling I am gonna be stuck with you." I say to him smirking.

"Well then, come in and I'll tell you." He motions to me to come in.

I entered the room and it had a white couch with a white square coffee table in center and a big black t.v on the wall which was turned off. I sat on the couch as he went to the kitchen which was behind another door which was translucent and had thick white border. A minute later, he returned with a glass of water and handed it to me. I drink the water from the glass as he tells me his name.
