Lolas pov...
"Where are we going?" Brian asked as we sped through the streets of downtown LA.
"We aren't going anywhere, drop me off home."
I was only going to get a ride from him before I untangled myself from him for good. He brought trouble and he was trouble, I had known it since the day he walked into the cafe. I was putting an end to it all for good.
"That's where we're going?"
"Correction, that's where I'm going, you go somewhere else."
Like a little puppy, a pout was on his face as he turned to look at me. "Why don't I come with you?"
He knew what he was doing and so did I. As I levelled him with a hard glare, I watched as his grin reappeared on his face. Like hell was I taking back to my house or worse, my room. It wouldn't end well.
"Why tell Eli something different?" He suddenly questioned.
"Why not?" I shot back.
"So you're playing him?"
With a roll of my eyes, I shook my head. "I'm trying to get him to fuck off."
"Your trying to get him to fuck off?"
"Correct."
"You two seemed comfortable earlier, didn't seem like you wanted him gone then."
A smirk ghosted my lips as I cocked my head to the side. "Jealous?"
"No."
My smirk grew as I watched his hands tighten around the steering wheel. I wasn't trying to play Eli, I genuinely wanted him gone and maybe I was messing with him a little however, it was just a little game. Watching Brian with his eyes stuck glaring on the road, I remembered our game. The one where we got close before suddenly backing off. The game when we pushed each other to see who would snap first.
I remembered the game we had been playing since the day we met.
"Change of plans." I suddenly muttered. "Head towards town."
"Why?"
"What's with the questions?" I whined with a roll of my eyes. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
"Good, now shut up and drive."
Speeding through the streets of LA, a hint of a smirk rested on my lips as I felt Brian's eyes on me. With a roll of my eyes, I cocked my head to the side to find him staring at me with a stupid grin on his face.
"Eyes on the road." I snapped before forcing my eyes back onto the window.
His soft laughter filled the air and it shot through my body and straight to my chest. The boy was fucking with my head too much, I knew I had to cut him off and I planned too, however, I wanted to have some fun first.
"Pull over and park down that alleyway. We're going through the back entrance."
Pulling over, me and Brian slipped out the car and stood outside an 'abandoned building', my escape, my safe haven.
"What is this place?" He asked curiously as he rounded the car to stand next to me.
As his arm brushed against mine, I forced myself to ignore the fire that shot through my veins and instead shook my head before brushing past him and banging on the door. On queue, the back door swung open and Jett stared down at me with a smile.
