Lolas pov...
I knew him.
I stared at him in the eyes for a second, one second- and I just knew who I was looking at, I knew exactly who he was. I looked into the eyes of a murderer.
His eyes were dark, soulless. I had looked into the eyes of a man who'd only ever known, created and stirred trouble.
He banged on the hood of my car again, a snarl on his face. "GET OUT." He screamed, his eyes narrowed on me.
And looking into his eyes again, I made one final promise to myself. Either I killed him or Dom did. Either way, he wasn't going to live.
Carefully, I undid my seat belt and slid out of my car. Every step I took, every movement I made was controlled and careful because I was too close to exploding. Someone suddenly brushed against me, but my eyes were still locked onto Fenix.
"Lola," Brian whispered, there was a shake in his voice, as if he was worried about me.
I was worried about me too. I didn't even recognise myself. I was too much like Dom in too many ways. He spiralled, I spiralled, he could never contain his rage, I could never contain mine. But standing in front of him, with my eyes stuck on him and only him- it was like I was paralysed.
Rage made my blood boil as images of me smashing something into his head flashed through my mind, but on the outside, I wasn't moving. I was freakishly calm, and it was throwing me off.
"Hey boss man," Dom suddenly muttered, and even though I hadn't looked at my brother since I'd recognized Fenix- I prayed he'd caught on.
"What did you say?" Fenix sneered.
I watched as he took a step towards Dom, and finally, I balled my hands into fists. I was still alive, even though it felt like there was a noose tightening around my neck.
"I said only pussies run nitrometh."
Dom knew.
"You looked under my hood? Got something on your mind-"
"'70 Plymouth." I suddenly snapped in a cold mutter, the words were flying past my lips before I could stop them because finally, I was losing control. "Her name was Letty." Slowly, Fenix turned to look at me with a mix of a scowl and a smirk on his vile face. "And someone wrecked the car."
Manically, he grinned at me. Fucking prick. "I wrecked her car."
"Correction, you wrecked my car."
His grin widened, making him look more like an evil cheshire cat than a person. But then again, he was a monster- far from a fucking person. He knew what he was doing and so did I. As I levelled him with a murderous glare, I watched as a playfulness glowed in his eyes.
"Ghost girl. You were in the car with her. You were the one driving." Like the sick freak he was, he started laughing. "I thought you burned to death."
"Of course you did," I threw back mockingly whilst I began to mirror his grin with one of my own. "You were sloppy, your work was mediocre at best."
The roles were suddenly reversed. I was grinning whilst he wasn't. There was no better feeling than humbling a man, especially a sickening vile one like him. He was furious, it was obvious in the way his entire body was shaking with rage. And I was revelling in it.
