Lola's pov...
"What were you thinking?" Dom demanded for the hundredth time.
I didn't know.
I wasn't thinking.
"Grow up, Dom. I'm nineteen." I was sick of his lectures, sick of him telling me what I could and couldn't do. "I can do whatever the fuck I want."
"I know that." He shot back.
"So why are we having this fucking conversation?"
Silence filled the air as I stared at my brother, wide eyed and full of rage. He was using Brian as an excuse to lash out at me, as a way to get under my skin. And whilst I didn't want to admit it, it was working.
"What is going on with you, Lola?" He muttered, asking the real question he wanted to ask me.
"Nothing."
"Bullshit."
"Just leave it, Dom." I warned with a shake of my head.
"Are you having nightmares again?"
They never left.
"No."
"Is it racewars? Because they will be there? We won't go-"
"Oh my god, are we still talking about this? Jesus fucking christ." I was losing my patience with all of it. "Nothing is wrong with me, I am fine. And me and Brian are none of your business."
"I thought there wasn't a 'you and Brian'?" He shot back, throwing my earlier words back in my face.
"There isn't." I seethed through clenched teeth before storming out of the kitchen and harshly slamming the door behind me.

Lola's pov...
Three days had passed, and I had barely spoken to anyone other than Jesse. Brian had been around, though I never saw him. He was only in the garage when I wasn't and I had no doubt that my brother had something to do with it.
I had worked on the car, perfected mine and Jesse's design. It was going to win, that car was going to win it all.
"We're only here for an hour." Dom muttered to me and Vince, though I didn't bother replying.
I didn't want to be at Vector's stupid party, hell, I didn't want to be near him. He got on my nerves and I was one punch away from getting arrested. I was supposed to be on my best behaviour, but I didn't understand how if I was going to be around men and their stupid little egos.
We were at the party purely for appearances, and Dom had dragged both me and Vince with him. I didn't bother protesting, I instead kept my mouth shut and followed my brother into the mayhem.
"Come on, Lola." Vince mumbled with a groan as he lightly nudged me. "Are you still pissed at me?"
"When am I not pissed at you, Vince?" I shot back.
"Come on, what do I have to do to make it up to you?" He whined with a stupid pout on his lips.
"Stop being a dick."
"I can make that happen."
Rolling my eyes, I faintly snorted. "You'll make that happen when I sprout wings and begin flying." I huffed under my breath.
"Your mean."
"I know."
"It's hot."
