Murder had somehow become her latest obsession, or better yet, the emotions related to murder. From that single moment in time, that she felt a killer's emotions after seeing his victim, her previous experiments no longer seemed as interesting. it felt like time travel mixed with empathy, how could she let it be?
At that time, looking at the dead body she felt emotions so strong at she could still feel them long after the actual murder. They were so strong it was like they transcendent time and space, and it was the most raw emotion she had ever felt in her life. She wanted to try it again, she wanted to understand how death could fuel emotion to last so long. it sounded like a fascinating experiment
Her previous experiments, such as experiment 04 (aka the depressed girl three dorms to the left) was still mildly amusing as she wanted to see if the girl went full on suicidal after some empathic emotional manipulations but it couldn't really compare. she was waiting for the day the girl jumped out of a window
The rest where no longer interesting - she had gotten bored with number 06 (aka happy girl) after force feeding her happiness for six months; number 02 had quit university after she had given her a year of stress; number 03 had been forced feed anger and been arrested after injuring a professor. her ability to force feed other people different emotions had definitely gotten better
Of course she still had Clara, the lovely experiment/minion number 01, and she was going traditional style with 05. Empathic manipulation was all good and dandy, but old school emotional manipulation was still something she excelled at. she didn't want to get rusty
05 had started out as meek and shy, often bullied because he looked like a pretty doll. Also, extremely gay but still in the dark closet. She wanted to transform him into something else without empathy, it sounded like a challenge.
"Why are you looking at murder pictures?" The blond blue eyed stereotypical American Dream boy sitting next to her inquired. he looked like a Ken, and she looked like a barbie (after dying her hair blonde)
"Five, I'm studying obviously." Willow replied, still looking concentrated at the corpse shown on the picture. She wanted to see if she could do it through pictures, hunting down bodies sounded like trouble at the moment.
"You do know my name is Matt right? I still don't get that nickname, by the way." He replied, rolling his eyes. She had definitely managed to make him more witty, that's for sure.
"No, it's Five. Get used to it." She dryly replied, she couldn't really concentrate with this talkative brat next to her. While manipulating the guy into being confident and charismatic without empathy was a challenge, sometimes it was a headache just dealing with him. "Don't you have some penal law to study?"
"I'm waiting for Clara, she wanted to go to the bookstore to get some book for her Discursive Practices class." He replied with a shrug and a lazy smile. He was studying Law while Clara was taking Communication and Journalism. a bunch of psychopaths in the making
"I'm here already." Somehow said from behind them, they turned to find Clara with an annoyed expression on her face while narrowing her eyes at Five. Clara seemed to think 05 was competition for her attention, which was why Willow kept Five around. it was entertaining to watch their relationship with each other
"Let's all go together to the store then." Five said, giving Clara a wide smile while being completely oblivious to the girl's dislike towards himself. so innocent this one, he'll probably be a victim to a schemer or a killer at some point in time
"I'm busy." Willow simply informed.
"With what? Dead bodies? I don't get it." Five frowned, looking down at the pictures and police reports on the table. They were old cases long solved used by the teachers, but real none the less. Looking at the picture she could kind of guess the motive, but she couldn't really get the emotions present during the murder. She needed to train this, until she got it.
"Let her be." Clara huffed, hitting him lightly on the shoulder. "She'll probably go on to become a police officer or a detective, she would be very good at that."
"With her grades she could do better, like a C.I.A agent or an FBI Agent." He replied, using his hands in a way to show case a grand tittle. "Will Graham, FBI Agent catcher of murders and profiler extraordinaire."
She had been ignoring them while continuing to take notes, however at that, her hand stopped moving and for a second she stopped breathing. And absurd idea come to her mind, and for a second she froze at the thought. it couldn't, or could it?
She put down her pen and slowly turned towards the blond, narrowing her eyes in his direction. "What did you just call me?" She asked harshly.
"Uhh... Will Graham, FBI Agent extraordinaire?" Five mumbled, apprehensive of her expression and her glare.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm whatever conjunction her mind was creating and putting it in a box for another time. However there was a phrase that continued to sound in her head nonstop. that is my design
"It's Willow, not Will."
"Yeah." He replied, still in a mumble while nodding quickly. Meanwhile Clara, had a small smirk on her lips. Willow could feel that the other woman was pleased and amused, she liked having Five put back in his place. little bloodthirsty thing
She decided to ignore them both and left, she needed to know! Now!
