The Wedding Day

Lucy and Tim start planning their wedding. Their daughter will be the flower girl, little Jackson will be the ring bearer, and we all know who will be the bridesmaids and groomsmen. With the help of their friends, they get the plans for the wedding done in just a few months. They found a barn just out of town that is a party venue. They found a DJ, the dresses and picked the date. They picked the anniversary of their first date. They only have a few weeks left. They had both taken off a week after the wedding for their honey mood and set up someone to take care of Makenzie. They were not going far because they didn't want to be states away from their daughter. Just far enough away that they could be alone but still close enough that they could be home in an hour if needed. 

The day of the wedding was here. Tim was staying with Wade Grey so that Makenzie did not have to leave her home. So he was awake early and getting ready. Lucy, on the other hand, had told the girls and their kids to come to stay with them. They did, and Lucy was up fixing breakfast, and the other moms were getting clothes together and getting the kids up. The wedding was at 2 pm, and it was 8 am. Lucy took note in her mind that they only had 6 hours to get all of them ready. They needed to be there at least an hour early, and they needed to pack a lunch or at least a snack for the kids. Lucy did that as the kids were eating breakfast while the other moms got themselves ready, and as the kids finished, they started getting them ready. By that time, Lucy had everything packed but still had to get ready. She went to get Makenzie ready, but she saw that one mom was getting all the girls ready, and the other was getting the boys ready. With this, Lucy went to get ready. By the time everyone was ready, and the car was loaded, it was 10:30 am. The there moms loaded up all the kids and headed to the wedding site.

When they got there, Tim and all their other friends were there. Tim and John were hanging stuff and doing all the heavy lifting. They had ordered the snacks for after the wedding, and they would show up to set up right before the wedding. They had told her between 1 pm and 2 pm.

It was 1:15 pm. Lucy and all the kids were dressed, and the food was there and had been set up. 45 minutes to go, Lucy thought to herself. Tim and everyone were dressed and doing all the finishing touches and seating people. Lucy was not shocked that she did not see her parents. She hadn't talked to them in months. She hadn't even told them she was getting married.

Lucy was lost in thought when she finally came back to reality, it was 1:50 pm, and the girls were trying to get her to get up. They had already sent the men to their spots and got the kids lined up. Everyone was here and ready, so there was no reason to wait any longer. Lucy couldn't wait. She loved Tim with all her heart, he was her best friend and the father of her daughter.

Lucy walked out and saw Time holding Makenzie, she had run to her daddy and would not go anywhere else. The wedding march started, and down she went to the love of her life. The pastor started the wedding, and the wedding went off great. Even know that Makenzie was in the middle of their first kiss. Lucy said it was perfect and that she would not have had it any other way. Everyone ate and danced, and then everyone either helped clean up or took the kids home. With everyone's help, it only took an hour and a half to get it all cleaned up. Tamara was staying with Makenzie, so Tim and Lucy could leave and start their honeymoon. They had had everything packed for days. Tim and Lucy drove off to their honeymoon and said goodbye to everyone. On their way out of town, they stopped and put Makenzie to bed and then headed out. They told Tamara that they would call and check on Makenzie at least twice a day. Tamara told them not to worry and to have fun, but not too much fun. They both laughed.
