sharky had just texted me saying he was going to pick me up, so i didn't have to worry. i had around 20 minutes left of this date, and i wasn't going to waste this time.
"how did you find me?" i asked him, finishing off my food and sliding the plate to one side.
"oh, i saw u on my feed, mutual friends yk?" he asked me, i nodded in reply and looked at life360 to see sharky was approximately 17 minutes away.
"how did you and mio meet?" i asked him.
"through my gal." he smiled and i furrowed my eyebrows.
"oh don't worry, she's my ex now." relief washed over me.
"i see. her name?" i consulted him.
"jade. she dropped me cuz she talking to this guy." he frowned.
"oh that's shit luck, do you know who?" i lent my head in the palm of my hands.
"yeah, sharky." my mouth was agape in shock. sharky? sharky has refused to be in a relationship since that polish girl. he never told me?
'i'm 7 minutes away' sharky texted again. i rolled my eyes and put my phone away.
"who keeps messaging you?" he confronts me.
"sharky, he's picking me up.." i smile and zip my phone into my bag.
"i could've dropped you home." he mutters.
"i know, but the boys are weird protective, they don't like it." i explained as he raised his eyebrow.
"so, your telling me your like a wild animal but kept in a cage?" he refers to jungle life. i shrug.
"i guess so, but it's nice, it's like i'm indulged in a big hug with them at all time." i smile.
"it sounds petty, and that they don't want you to have friends." i gulp. this is not really what i wanted to be talking about, i wanted to talk about normal things people talk about on dates, like, their lives and similarities, not the others friends.
there was a repetitive buzz coming from my bag, which i guessed was a call. it was coming from the contact 'shark🦈💟' , so i picked it up and held up one finger to arello.
"hello." i exclaimed, sighing into the phone. to be honest i don't know why, i guess i was kinda mad this random dude knew about sharkys dating life sooner then me.
