Jisung tapped his pencil, staring down at his notebook, trying to make sense of the equation. Minho leaned forward, reading the upside-down equations as he hummed and took a sip of his coffee.
"Do you see where you went wrong?" Minho asked.
Jisung shook his head. "Nope. I am completely lost. Minho, please just tell me what I did wrong."
Minho smiled. "Come on. You got this! Just look at what you did one step at a time."
He rolled his eyes, looking back down at his notebook. He let out a frustrated sigh, his eyes going up to glare at his friend. "You are not a good math tutor at all. I've been staring at this problem for at least 5 minutes now and I am not any closer to figuring out what the fuck I did wrong. I'm- I'm not mad- just... just kinda frustrated."
Minho stood up and grabbed his chair, placing it next to Jisung and sitting down. He wrapped an arm around him, staring over his shoulder at his notebook. He sighed, sitting up again. "Listen, I don't care what your attitude is, I don't want you to be hard on yourself. Trust me when I say math can be hard for everyone-" he leaned close to his ear. "Even Seungmin struggles." A soft giggle escaped his lips as he pulled away. "But really, don't be too hard on yourself."
Jisung groaned over-dramatically as he shoved his face into his neck. "Fuck you."
Minho pulled him closer. "You're doing great. Just take a deep breath and we'll go on." He placed a kiss on his head.
Jisung reluctantly lifted his head, taking in the breath that Minho said to take. "Okay. Let's just get this done."
Minho loosened his grip on Jisung, allowing him to go back to sitting up in his chair. He grabbed his own pencil, tapping the equation. "Okay, so where do you think you went wrong?"
"I don't know. Probably... step 4?"
Minho looked down, tapping again. "Okay, look at step 4. What do you see possibly wrong?"
Jisung stared. "Ummm- nothing?"
Minho just smiled, tapping very aggressively on the paper. "Are you certain you see nothing at all?"
He stared at where the paper tapped on the paper as his eyes grew as he slowly realized what went wrong. "Oh my fucking god, the number is supposed to be negative."
Minho beamed. "There you go!"
Jisung quickly went through the problem again, fixing it. He looked up at Minho, the brightest smile plastered on his face. "Did I do it?"
Minho analyzed the equation, a smile growing on his face. "Yes! Good job!" Jisung only continued to smile bigger, hugging him. "Let's take a break." He stood up, returning him and his chair to its original spot.
Jisung wiggled slightly around in his chair, a very proud look stuck on his face. Minho rested his elbows on the table and leaned his chin on his hands.
"You look really cute when you're proud."
Jisung blushed and chuckled slightly, his cheeks hurting as his smile grew. "Well, I have you to thank.""Don't thank me. Just be proud of yourself." He grabbed Jisung's notebook, closing it. "Really, you look so adorable when you're proud of yourself."
"Well, if you want to see this look more then we need to do more tutor dates."
"Tutor dates?" he scoffed. "Do not let anybody hear that, they'll lose their shit over you calling it a date."
Jisung nodded, a smug look on his face. "Especially Seungmin."
"Oh my god do you wanna know what Seungmin did to me the other day?"
