"Psst, Jisung. Wake up."

Jisung rolled over in bed, covering his ears with a pillow. The bed shook slightly as someone gently grabbed him, slowly shaking him.

"Stop it, Minho," Jisung grumbled sleepily, swatting at Minho's hand.

But Minho was persistent, tugging at Jisung's arm and shaking him more. "Come on," Minho whispered.

"Mmm... no. Go back to bed," He mumbled, pulling the blanket over him.

"I can't sleep."

Jisung groaned in annoyance and cracked open one eye to look at Minho. He squinted slightly, almost unable to make out his figure in the dark room. He let out a deep sigh as he reluctantly sat up.

"Fine, fine. I'm awake now."

He could feel an arm snake around him, pulling him closer. "Thank you," Minho whispered in his ear.

At that moment he was grateful for the pitch-black room as his cheeks burned up as Minho's warm breath tickled his neck. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it around his shoulders, hugging himself tightly.

"So...?" Jisung questioned. "What now?"

Minho shrugged against him, resting his head on his shoulder. "I dunno. I just wanna talk to you, you know?"

Jisung sighed and leaned back against the headboard, feeling the weight of Minho's head shift on his shoulder. He looked over at the window, watching as the moon appeared from behind some clouds, a soft glow lighting the room. The glow landed on Minho's face, digging into his sharp features.

Jisung's heart softened as he looked at his best friend's tired eyes, sensing a hint of vulnerability beneath his usual confident demeanor. "Yeah, I get you."

He could hear a soft snicker come from the boy resting against him as Minho nuzzled his cheek against his shoulder.

"Honestly..." Minho began, his voice hushed and soft. "I kinda do enjoy the quiet. It's nice to have these moments with you."

"You think so?" Jisung raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Yeah, I do," Minho replied with a small smile. He then sat up and looked out the window, his gaze fixed on the night sky. "Do you wanna go outside and just look at the stars for a while?"

"Not- Not really?" Jisung hesitated, not wanting to leave the comfort of his bed.

But as his eyes met Minho's hopeful eyes, he couldn't resist. The pure yearning in Minho's gaze melted away Jisung's resistance as he found himself giving in, the two climbing out of the bed.

Minho grabbed Jisung's hand, intertwining their fingers as they tiptoed through the dark and quiet house, not wanting to wake anyone. The night air was crisp against their skin as they stepped outside, the cool concrete beneath their feet freezing their toes.

They walked to the poolside stairs and sat down next to each other, their shoulders touching. Jisung shivered slightly, pulling his knees up to his chest and hugging himself for warmth.

"You cold?" Minho asked, eyeing the boy.

"Yeah, I'm cold. It's literally fall."

Minho wrapped an arm around him, pulling him close. "Here, let me warm you up," Minho said softly.

Jisung would only let out a small chuckle. "I don't know how much you're gonna help with that, but I do appreciate the effort."

He hummed in response, rubbing his hand up and down Jisung's arm, generating warmth and comfort in the chilly night air. As they sat there, gazing up at the twinkling stars scattered across the canvas they called the night sky, a silence enveloped them.
