Charlotte's Point of View
I smiled at my daughter, Cindy, as she ran around playing by herself.
She was so shy.
The sun light was always on her, whether she went beneath the trees or not. She would giggle when it shown on her.
My daughter was the Sun Goddess.
Hunter was pissed when he had found out, but accepted it none the less. Every one loved her anyways.
I had two children by now, but my son just locked himself in his room all day long. I left him to his father. I get the girls, he gets the boys.
Cindy ran up to me and I smiled, crouching down so that she could run into my arms.
She giggled as I spun her around.
"Wanna go to the beach?" I whispered in her ear.
She gasped and clapped her hands, a smile lighting up her small face.
"Yes!" She said happily.
For a seven year old, she was always so happy.
I hoped she was always like this.
I chuckled and walked back into the house, Cindy still in my arms.
"Okay," I sat her back down onto her feet, "I want you to run upstairs and get ready really fast. Put on your Strawberry Shortcake bathing suit and get your beach bag out of your closet. Be fast."
The smile never left her face as she nodded and ran up the stairs smoothly, not tripping over her feet.
I heard Hunter sigh behind me as he wrapped his arms around me, his hands resting on my small baby bump.
"You shouldn't be going out," He scolded, "You need rest."
"Relax," I said as I leaned back into him, "It's her birthday. I'll be fine."
He turned me around, kissing me softly on the lips before reluctantly pulling away.
"Fine then," He agreed hesitantly, "But be back before sunset."
I nodded, smiling and kissing him again.
We stood there, making out before Aunt pixie broke us apart.
"Niece!" I heard her scream, "Where have you gone?!"
I sighed.
Girls day out.
Fantastic.
Cindy ran down the stairs, wearing a white tank top and light blue denim shorts over her swim suit.
She stopped when she saw Hunter, suddenly becoming shy again before she ran up to him, kissing him on the cheek and hugging him as he crouched down.
"Bye daddy!" Cindy said in a low, excited voice, "Mommy is taking me to the beach!"
Hunter chuckled. "Bye Cindy, remember not to wear sunscreen!"
But Cindy was already out the front door, putting her bag into the trunk of the truck.
I laughed.
She was always so shy around men. Around anyone else actually except for Mom, Aunt Pixie, Aunt Kristen and I. And also Alyssa and her other Aunt, who is a few months younger than her so we call them cousins. Marie, my younger sister.
Today was girls day out. According to Cindy, every birthday she has is girls day out. It has been since she was two and could talk.
"I don't think she likes me," Hunter pouted.
I chuckled, kissing him softly.
"Of course she does," I said as I pulled away from him, "She's just shy around men in general. I'm worried about her actually." I frowned in concern for my young daughter.
"She's fine," Hunter assured me, "Nothing will ever hurt her. I'll make sure of it."
I smiled at him.
"I love you," I said.
"I know," He responded, smiling widely and causing me to smack his chest, he chuckled, "I love you too."
I smiled and he handed me my beach bag. I gave him a long kiss before leaving.
Cindy couldn't wear sunscreen in the sun. The first time she did, she nearly lit on fire. So instead, we allow her to tan up nicely.
Me, on the other hand, I have to wear sunscreen or else I'll be burnt to a crisp. Apparently, it has something to do with my daughter being the sun Goddess and me being the Moon Goddess.
I didn't have a problem with it though.
I still had trouble believing how much my life had changed in the past eight years.
I went from being a dark witch, to being a moon Goddess. I went from killing, to loving.
It all seemed so different. It all seemed so...me.
Ginger has found her mate in the God of the Dead. Ironic, isn't it? The Goddess of life with the God of the Dead.
We hadn't found much more God's, we had just found about fifteen. But to be honest, I stopped looking after I had Cindy. I had a family to take care of.
Cindy crawled into my lap, pulling me out of my thoughts as we began driving towards the beach. She smiled at me.
I smiled back.
There was nothing I wouldn't give to be in this position right now.
I looked around at my family, who all had smiles on their faces at something Cindy and Marie were talking loudly about.
Kristen. My mother's adopted sister.
Pixie. My mother's real sister.
Mom. The lady who put everything into being my mother.
Alyssa. My oldest sister, but youngest of the triplets.
Linda. My adopted sister, who has experienced more in one life time than anyone should ever have to.
Fawn. My awesome friend who would put someone's life above her own.
Ginger. The girl who never stops talking, but I love her anyways.
Venus. My overall and bestest friend I had ever met. She would be there for me til the very end. But with Royals and God's, there was no end.
Marie. My six year old little sister, my daughters best friend.
And Cindy. The most Liveliest person you'd ever meet once you got to know her. And yet the most shyest.
This is my family.
Yeah, I'd give anything to be here with them.
