Neeya POV
I was lying on the bed as blood was drawing out of my veins. I kept staring at the blood as it went up, drop by drop. I heard the sound of someone opening the door. As I looked in that direction, I saw Doctor Uncle enter the room and sit on a chair beside my bed.
"How is Maya?" I asked about her before he could even take a breath. Can't wait to see her any longer.
"Stable but unconscious. We managed to stop her bleeding." I smiled, knowing she was a little bit better than before. "Now, tell me how you are doing?" he asked me, caressing my head.
"I am fine. It's not a big deal for me. I am used to donating blood." He smiled at me as I mentioned blood donation. A nurse walked in as we talked and greeted Doctor Uncle.
"Hey, weren't you the one who donated blood last time as well?" the nurse asked me, and I nodded. I remember that she was the one who was there last time. I wanted to know about the patient, but I had to leave before that.
"Have you donated blood to this hospital before?" Doctor Uncle asked me again.
"Yeah, four months ago."
"Do you know who the patient was?" I shook my head. Doctor Uncle's lips lifted up in a smile. "Did you know Maya at that time?"
"I met her once. The night before, I donated blood." I still remember meeting Maya at the elevator that night. A girl, maybe two or three years older than me, was standing on a corner, leaning against the wall, closing her eyes. I wanted to pat her head so badly that time, even though I didn't know why. When the elevator got stuck and she scooped herself up in a corner, I couldn't help but go to her and calm her down. "Why are you asking?" I questioned him curiously. He chuckled at my words. I
"Do you believe your meeting with Maya was fate?" I looked at him in confusion. "Even though you didn't know, you saved Maya last time as well," he answered. My eyes widened. The patient was Maya? She was in the hospital four months ago? And here I thought she was on vacation while she was suffering in the hospital!
I felt a slight pain as the nurse ejected the syringe from my vein. I turned to Doctor Uncle and asked if I wanted to see Maya.
"Take a rest for a while; after that, you can see her," he answered, leaving me alone in the room.

I couldn't lay there properly. I was tossing and turning around the bed as I was worried for Maya. I sat up and got out of bed. I have decided to check up on Maya first.
As soon as I stepped outside the room, a sudden dizziness hit me. A strong pair of arms secures me from falling. As I looked up, I found a familiar pair of blue eyes staring into mine. Why were those eyes still affecting me? Why do I still want to drown in those eyes?
"You donated blood again?" His voice brought me back to reality. I turned my eyes away from him.
"None of your concern," I muttered. He scoffed.
"You are as clumsy as always," he commented, lifting me off the ground and carrying me back to the room again.
"Hey, what are you doing? Put me down! I said, put me down!" I screamed, squirming in his arms.
"Hey, stay still and stop screaming; it's a hospital," he whispered in my ears, lying me down on the bed and placing his fingers on my lips. I was getting angry, so I bit his finger. "You...! Why did you bite me?" he hissed, raising his hand. I closed my eyes tightly as a reflex.
