Dating Rumor

It's never easy to be in coma for months and amnesia after I wake up. That was the hardest thing I experienced. I'm clueless, it feels like I missed something and the headaches and passing out is the worst thing.

I blow the smoke from my cigarette. I achieved my dream and there's still a missing part in me. And I'm fully aware of what it is.

"The hell you did not inform us that you were coming?" Inis na tono ang bungad sa akin ni Mariyah.

I scanned her silently. She matured and changed a lot. Mas naging seryoso din ang timbre ng mukha pero alam kong may kagaguhan na tumatakbo sa isip niyan.

"It's not that important," kibit balikat ko.

"It's important. You're a very important person—" tinapunan ko ng masamang tingin si Bryn. He just smirked.

"Nahuli na 'yung mastermind ng accident ko sa Italy. There is no need to worry."

"You know, ibang-iba ka na kumpara noon. You're the youngest successful director in Hollywood. Ang tunog ng pangalan at mga films mo."

Bryn's right. I am the youngest successful director in Hollywood. After I graduated in Italy. Pinilit kong makipag sapalaran sa USA. It was hard. Bago pa lang ako. I spent years learning until I finally got my first project. It was just a short film but since it is trending worldwide, they started to see my skills.

It was too good to be true. Hanggang ngayon parang panaginip pa rin sa akin na ilang malalaking proyekto na ang nahawakan ko. And it's Hollywood movies!

"Maganda career mo sa USA. Bakit mo naisipang bumalik sa Pilipinas?" Kinuha ni Bryn ang sigarilyo sa kamay ko at ginamit upang sinindihan ang kaniya.

Ngumuso ako at muling naalala ang dahilan kung bakit ako bumalik ng Pilipinas. I got an offer. Maliit ang kita kumpara sa mga projects na natatanggap ko sa Hollywood but… I sighed.

"I just want to have a vacation." Sumandal ako sa sofa. I'm in my house in the Philippines and early in the morning, these two gatecrashed my house just to ask that question.

"Vacation mo mukha mo! My rumors na tumanggap ka ng project dito," Mariyah said.

"Sino nag kalat ng rumors?"

Tumingin agad s'ya kay Bryn. He just innocently tilted his head. Gusto ko biglang paliparin ang palad ko sa mukha niya.

"Why?!"

"You're a pussy!"

"No! I don't have a pussy!"

"You two… you acting like you never planned this all." Mariyah frustratedly sat down. "Bryn's company is the one who offer a project to Tori,"

"And he's also the one who spread rumors."

"Well, I can't shut it off. Imagine? The famous Hollywood director just accepted my offer? Kailangan lumabas sa tabloids niyan."

Wala akong planong tanggapin ang offer ni Bryn but when I found out that he is Bryn's artist, I can't just let it pass. Tahimik kong pinagmasdan si Bryn. I'm still confused how he got him though.

"So let's talk about my offer, Tori."

Mariin kong pinikit ang mata ko, "Please, Bryn give me rest. May jetlag pa ako!"

"Isang linggo ka na dito, may jetlag ka pa rin?" He fired back.

I rolled my eyes. Tumayo ako at iniwan ko sila sa living room. I locked myself in my room. Hindi talaga patatahimikin ng dalawang 'yon ang buhay ko. I just want to rest before I start working nonstop again.
