ABOUT
ZARA WILLOWS
Zara growing up didn't have the best childhood, she grew up with 3 older brothers Aiden (7 years older) Alex (5 years older) and Joe (2 years older). her parents were mostly happy with very few arguments between them, her mother (Marissa) loved her boys especially joe but didn't seem to show the same affection towards zara but that never really mattered to her as her father (Isaac) was always the one to make it up to her, he loved her dearly and everyone who saw them together could tell.
Her family had enough money to support them but not quite enough to fully get comfortable, causing the children to seek out jobs from young ages, isaac had worked as a site manager for a building company and was making enough money that could have put them in a stable position if not for his wife wanting to spend the money spoiling joe and going drinking and to party's with friends. some would consider her mother as a bit of an alcoholic but it was never much of a gossip topic rather the multiple rumours of her cheating on her husband ,isaac, to which she would always deny and blame a friend saying '-- had too much to drink she just wants something to spread around and get some gossip going'. Isaac himself never believed her but after everything he still loved her and knew she wouldn't be able to take care of herself without him.
when zara was 11 she started taking piano lessons, introducing her to the love she now has for music. she would be going to singing, piano and guitar lessons four times a week.this also happened to be the year aiden moved out, being 18 he moved to devon by the coast. alex had turned 16 and was also planning on moving out soon to which zara and joe had made efforts to convince him not to but to no avail ,him moving in with aiden shortly after.
growing up in Birmingham, England zara was introduced to drinking with friends at about 12, doing drugs at 14 and skipping school and classes all through secondary school. her behaviour further encouraged by friends and older kids that her group were friends with, obviously she hid it enough that her father wouldn't suspect anything but her mother had caught her a couple of times before when she would be hanging out outside bars and clubs with boys and older people her friends knew ,but her mother only dismissed it and pretended she didn't see her which relieved zara every time.
by 15 zara was constantly busy writing and messing around with sound boards that her dad would get her. he was proud of his little girl, she had found something she was passionate about and something she would most likely try to per-sue as a career. zara's mother was giving the girl dieting advice and would control the little girl's intake of food and what she would be having.(which was not a lot) and would say that it's so she would be attractive to boys and would be the prettiest at school. but zara was happy she was content with her life at that moment, her mother giving constant attention to the girl, no matter if it was good or bad, her dad helping the most he can with her dreams of producing music and her brother showing interest in her hobbies. the happiness wasn't long lived though as a few months into turning 15 her father had passed away leaving zara in pieces, she felt like someone had ripped out her heart when she found out, her best friend was gone, the only one who believed in her and her one supporter. she was never the same afterwards she was more quiet in big groups and was turning to friends for drinks and drugs more often than not.
marissa didn't show much care to her husbands sudden passing instead bringing men home and saying 'it's my way of grieving' leaving zara furious at her mother how could she? he loved her and she doesn't even care that he's gone? she's just bringing other men into their bed, into his house. one night zara took this up with her mother as said woman was on her way out the house ready to go clubbing again. she had shouted at her mother saying how disrespectful it was and how she never deserved someone as good as him. she was furious with the woman, with her audacity . she had been shouting at the elder woman with tears gushing from her eyes and her face flushed. obviously the woman didn't take this lightly and had shouted back at the girl but it didn't seem any use as zara kept shouting. what marissa did next made zara sick to her stomach it shocked her to her core ,the woman had hit her. not only has she punched the younger in her face but she had also pushed her to the floor then rushing away and out the door. zara was left on the floor with a bloody nose in pure shock she was astounded that her mother would do such a thing but later would realise this sort of behaviour from her mother would become a reoccurring event.
by the time she was 16 her music was getting a bit of attraction and it only fuelled the little girls passion for the subject but with that her mother became increasingly harder to handle and would end in zara staying at friends houses most nights.
zara hadn't told joe what her mom was doing to her as she feared what she would do, joe knew they didn't get along that well he could hear the shouting but thought that was the extent, him and his mother having a good relationship themselves he didn't know how it was possible for zara to dislike her.
