I'm going to kill her.
I will stick my five-inch heels in her neck and watch as all the blood flows from it down her shirt and she crumbles to the floor. Standing before my wife's assistant's desk, I take a deep breath. Mina, I think her name is. I cross my arms over my chest and put a calming smile on my face. From how Mina shakes, I see it's doing the opposite.

"Mrs. Tolliver, your wife is currently in a meeting. I can call you back here once it's over." Mina picks up a pen from the desk and twists it on the desk. I don't understand why she is so nervous around me.

In the four years I've been married to Zeus, I'm always around or in contact with her. Most of the time, when Zeus is working, I'm forced to speak with Mina to talk to my wife. Going through a second party to talk to someone you live with is really irritating.

Unfolding my arms, I place my arms on Mina's desk, leaning over slightly so I'm closer to her face. "How about I go in there now and cut her meeting short." Before Mina can object, I push off the desk and pace toward the office door behind her. Ignoring Mina's protest, I barge in. Zeus was standing before the wall-to-ceiling windows wrapped around her entire office. She turned around, her phone to her ear.

She was wearing a light pink button-down with a couple of buttons undone, with dark blue pants. The suit jacket to match is hung on the back of her desk chair. Her tan skin glowed in sun rays casting through the windows. Her shoulder-length dark brown was brushed behind her ears. A bright smile crowded her face when she locked eyes with me. It is almost enough to keep me from throwing a fit. Almost.

Mina rushed past me, her hands up and shaking frantically. "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Tolliver! I tried to stop her." Mina's voice was shaky. Is she that afraid of me? Or Zeus? I put my hands on my hips, not saying a word, keeping my eyes on Zeus. She whispered something into her phone and hung it up, placing it in her pocket. Folding her arms over her chest, her smile grew.

"It's okay, Mina." She practically purred. Her voice is raspy and sultry, no matter who she speaks to. I hate it. I watch her step away from the window to the front of her desk, leaning back on it. "You can leave us." Zeus winked at her. I turned to Mina, who had a faint blush on her pale face. That's new. I suspect that Zeus is cheating on me, but I have no solid proof. I wouldn't put it past her to sleep with her assistant.

Mina left the office with her head down, leaving me with a still-smiling Zeus. She watched my every move as I approached her desk and sat in one of the chairs. Crossing my legs over each other, I glared at her. Her blue eyes lit up at the action. "One would think that because you are so well known in Olympus, you would keep your mistresses a secret." That was all I said before she laughed. Her pretty white teeth were on full display.

She continued looking at me, her gaze occasionally creeping down my body. I opted for a simple open-back black dress with a deep v-cut between my breast. Her gaze is lingering around there. Clearing my throat, her eyes shot to mine. Her smile turned predatory. "I don't cheat." She said sternly.

That isn't entirely true. Nodding my head, I hum. "Sure, you don't." Taking a deep breath, I dribble my manicured fingers on the arm of the chair, thinking back to the reason I stormed in here in the first place. "But you do stand people up." I watched her face intensely as she dissected my words. A wave of understanding hit her face.

"Ah!" She snapped her fingers and pointed at me—a genuine smile on her face. "I'm sorry, I missed lunch," She sounded sincere, but an apology will not fix this. I feel myself going back to that murderous person I was outside her office.
