Timeskip 6 years later, Tara is 23 and Amber is 22. 😊
Ambers POV
"Mindy!!!" I yell out, she rushes into the room.
"What? I can't help two people at one time Amber!!" She complains, I roll my eyes and turn around.
"Zip this up for me." I say, pointing to the zipper on the back of my dress.
"Ugh, how much did u eat last night." Mindy says, struggling to get the zipper up.
"Shut up." I say, she chuckles and manages to get it up, I turn around to face her.
"Nice." She says, I smile at her and Chad comes into the room.
"How do I look?" He asks, Mindy smiles.
"Sharp my man." She wraps an arm around Chad. "We're gonna leave you to it alright?" She says to me, I give her a thumbs up and they both leave the room.
I look at myself in the mirror and inhale deeply. "This is it." I say to myself, going out to everyone.
Tara's POV
I pace around my dressing room, fidgeting with my fingers nervously.
"Hey- T." Wes comes into the room.
"Oh- hey Wes." I say, smiling.
"Everyone's waiting for you, are you okay?" He asks me, I sigh.
"I'm just nervous." I say, he nods. "That's understandable." He says, I smile and he tells me to sit down.
"If it makes you feel better Ambers shaking like crazy out there." He says, it makes me feel a little bit better that our feelings are mutual.
"She's always nervous." I say, he shakes his head. "Nuh-Uh."
"You can do it, come on." He holds his hand out for me. I sigh and take it, we then link arms and I hear the bridal music start up as Mindy announces my coming to the pianist.
We open the doors and I walk down the aisle with Wes, Amber looks at me smiling widely. I kinda wish my Dad was here with me right now, but I know he's watching over, proud.
"Look." Wes whispers to me, pointing at my Mom who smiles at me. I'm surprised she's here honestly, but it makes me happy.
I walk up the stairs to the little whatever the hell you call it and face Amber, holding her hands and locking eyes.
"Ahem, okay uhh." Chad clears his throat, looking at his book. I forgot to mention that this was our wedding and HES our priest. My best women are Liv, Sam, and Rhylee, and my best men are Wes, my Uncle, and Ethan. Ambers best people are Mindy, her friend Melanie, Ava, her Dad, Greg, and her cousin Jeremy.
"Do you want to-" Chad gets cut off by Ambers whisper.
"Just tell us to read our vows, man." She says, I snicker a little.
"Oh uh- Read your vows! Uhh, Amber!" He says, smiling and nodding at the crowd, Amber looks at him annoyed but then looks at me. I can't help but blush furiously.
"Tara, listening to your voice blows my heart away. It makes me feel better than I've ever felt
Your love has created a path for me. Sometimes, I wonder how I would have made it this far without you and your love. You have made me feel so much fulfillment and happiness that my poor heart has never had. I am grateful for your unconditional love that never runs dry. With you, all my dreams have become a reality. You are the change I needed to survive through life's troubles. I have you to myself and will do anything to keep you in my world forever. Your home is my heart, and I will nurture you like royalty. With all my heart, I love you, Tara, and nothing compares to my devotion to you."
Amber says to me, even Chad tears up. I smile at her widely, holding back the urge to launch into her arms and kiss her.
"O-okay, now Tara says the- whatever." Chad says, pulling a tissue out of his pocket and blowing his nose into it loudly. I breathe in deeply and look into Ambers dark brown eyes.
"Amber-" I choke out, she looks at me lovingly.
"God- fuck this stupid speech." I say, ripping it up and throwing it at Chad so he can use it for more tissues.
"This comes from my heart." I look at her, not breaking contact for a second.
"Amber, you are undoubtedly the best thing that ever happened to me." I start, Amber smiles at me widely signaling me to go on.
"Without you, I wouldn't be here. You've saved me from my days of anger and sadness, replacing them with happiness and...turtles." I say, she laughs a little bit.
"When we first met, when Mindy kept calling me the wrong names and you were there, my heart fluttered. I didn't want to believe it but it was love at first sight. You've impacted my life greatly, always making sure I have a hand to hold onto, a shoulder to cry on, arms to catch me when I fall deeply, deeply for you." Amber starts to tear up a bit, I wipe her tears with my thumb.
"Because of you, I know what it's like to be loved and the feeling of loving someone truly.
Nothing is impossible because you made me question the beliefs I held inside. I love you beyond human understanding, and I will never stop loving you. You have given me love from the depth of your heart, and all I can do is love you wholeheartedly. Like a flooded stream, I will always love you without conditions. It will exceed every other feeling I've ever felt. This is truly the best moment of my life, and I am happy to be here with you."
I finish, leaving her pretty much speechless and Chad balling his eyes out.
"Man, fuck it just kiss the bride." He says, hiding his tears as me and Amber kiss, everyone claps for us and when we're done they all head to the main area, where Light Shower by Melanie Martinez plays.
"I really don't wanna dance Amber." I say to her, she rolls her eyes and grabs my hand gently.
"Come on, it'll be fun! We've been wanting this as our wedding song since we were 18." She says, I sigh and she pulls me into her. Putting her arms on my waist while I put my arms around her neck.
"What?" I say, looking at her weirdly.
"You look beautiful." She says, smiling at me, still swaying with me.
"You're corny as shit." I say to her, she laughs and spins me around. "Still corny." I say.
"I guess being corny is my love language?" She says, I fake gag.
"Whatever." She pulls me closer to her and I stop smiling, just looking into her eyes. She holds me like this for a while and I start getting more and more impatient for her.
"Are you gonna do something or?-" Amber cuts me off by placing a soft kiss on my lips, I respond by kissing her back, moving my hands up to her face and caressing her cheek with my thumb.
"I love you." She says, pulling away from me but still holding us inches away.
"I love you too."
