"Hello, dear," I froze He was on my bed.

Dom was sitting on my bed, and Joe was sitting at my desk.

He stood up and walked over to me.

"Oh, don't freeze up now," he said, twirling a strand of hair.

I tried to reach for the doorknob, but he grabbed my wrist before I could.

"Now why would you do that? Running away won't help," he whispered into my ear.

I felt a tear go down my face.

It happened again, but in the 'comfort of my own home' as Joe said.

-Noah's pov-

Something felt off.

After Xander said that Chloe didn't change emotion, snap back, or do anything, she just walked away; she never does that.

"Hey, did Chloe seem off to you?" I asked Leo and Louis.

"No, she seemed normal; she's probably tired from all this drama," Leo responded, and Louis nodded his head.

"Okay, I'm just going to go check up on her, make sure she's ok and stuff." I got up and went to her room.

I heard the shower going, so I was just going to wait for her, but when I went to open the door, it was locked.

Andre was walking down the hall.

"Hey, do you have a key to her room? I was going to wait for her to get out of the shower." He just took the key off the frame to take a picture by her door and walked away.

I unlocked the door and walked in. The room was destroyed.

what happened

Her bookshelf was knocked down, her bed was torn up, and the picture on her wall is now ripped up and on the ground.

She is the cleanest person I know.

I heard the shower door open, not even hearing the shower turn off.

She looked dead in the hoodie and sweatpants. I could see her skin was still red, probably from scrubbing hard and using burning water.

"Who was in here?" was all I asked.

I watched a tear slowly drop from her face.

"It was a lie, was it?" She slowly nodded, looking at the ground.

"Did they threaten her?" I knew Lili was a tough topic. I only got to meet her once. When she was a little girl, Chloe found her in an ally. She took her home, and Dom was there. He targeted Lili that night, so Chloe took her to the gym, and Maya and Joe found her a home; they know where she is.

Chloe visits every month.

"Who did this scar?" She just shook her head and started sobbing.

Something wasn't right.

"He did it again," was all she was whispering over and over again.

I went in to hug her, and she just backed up to the wall.

"Dom was here, wasn't he?" She finally just ran to me and hugged me.

"Do you want to go back to my house, so you don't have to be in the same house as Joe and Maya?" I asked.

"Yes, please." I picked her up and took her to my car right when she said that.

I couldn't protect her earlier, so I'm going to do everything I can to help now.

I honestly missed him a lot.

He is the one who hurt me, but he also saved my life more than once.

"We are here," he said softly.

"Hey, thank you for doing this. I really needed to get out of there." I could only look at my hands, but then he took one of them.

"I know I was an asshole, but I thought I was helping you, that pushing you away would keep you safe even if I was hurting myself. I didn't mean to hurt you, and I'm sorry. Just know that now I am going to help and try to fix us no matter what." A tear slipped down my face at the words he was saying.

"I haven't cried in so long, and now tonight I can't stop. What is wrong with me, Noah? Why is this happening?" Every time I wiped them, more came out.

Noah just got out of the car and went to my side of the car.

He picked me up and took me out, bringing me into the house.

I just held on like my life depended on it.

We went into a room, and he sat me on the bed.

I took time to look around the room.

It was his.

"You kept it all," I said, looking at his dresser, the top crowded in things from our friendship.

"Of course, I did; I couldn't get rid of the best thing that ever happened to me." He kissed my forehead, and I drifted off to an unwanted sleep.
