The children reluctantly cut their beach time short as they wandered throughout the ruins. The place definitely looked familiar, to Evangeline at least. She walked up a set of stairs that had a view of overlooking the forest.

"Be careful would you?" Edmund told her. Evangeline wasn't exactly very careful, more clumsy than anything. "What are you doing?"

"I recognise this view," she told him and he walked up to where she was. "In Cair Paravel, remember?"

"I wonder who lived here?" Evie heard Lucy ask as the couple walked over to the others.

" I think we did." Susan said, holding something in her hand that Edmund seemed to recognise.

"Hey that's from my chess set." He told his sister as Peter joined them.

"Which chess set!" Peter asked.

Edmund rolled his eyes. "Well I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley did I?" Evie laughed at his reply. Lucy paid no attention to them and instead ran over to some more ruins.

"Don't you see?" The young girl asked, pulling her siblings in front of what looked like ruins of thrones. "Imagine walls, and columns there. And a glass roof."

Realisation suddenly hit them all - it was their home. Their home was destroyed.

"Cair Paravel." Evie said what they were all thinking.  "What the bloody hell happened here?"

They walked away from the statues and towards the trees. "Catapults." Edmund stated.

"What?" Evie looked over and questioned.

The raven haired boy looked at them. "This didn't just happen, Cair Paravel was attacked." He told them.

All five children walked over to a wooden door which they knew led down to the chamber where their chests were kept. After opening the door, Peter picked a stick up off the floor, ripped part of his shirt off and wrapped the cloth around the stick. The other four looked to each other in confusion.

"Don't suppose, you have any matches do you?" He asked Edmund who shrugged.

"No but," Edmund reached into his bag and pulled out a torch. "Would this help?"

Peter huffed. "You might've mentioned that a bit sooner!" He told him as the girls laughed. Throwing the stick away, Peter gestured for all of them to walk in first. After walking down a few steps, the chests came into view.

Due to her not being a crowned queen, Evangeline didn't actually have a chest so most of her stuff was in Edmunds and she ran over before he could get there. Evie opened it and saw swords, armour, dresses and her bow and arrows all mixed up in there.
