The walk back to the How was a quiet one, everyone was angry and upset that their friends and family were left behind. Lucy looked relieved when they reached Aslan's How, happy that her family were back but her facial expression changed when she saw the solemn looks on their faces.

"What happened?" The young girl asked them.

"Ask him." Peter told her through gritted teeth, referring to Caspian.

"Peter." Susan scolded.

"Me?" Caspian asked. "You could have called it off, there was still time."

Athena sighed in exasperation. "Oh Christ, here we go."

Peter turned to Caspian. "No there wasn't, thanks to you," Peter retorted. "If you'd kept to the plan, those soldiers might still be alive."

"And if you'd just stayed here like I suggested they would definitely still be alive!" Caspian yelled.

Peter shrugged. "You called us, remember?"

Caspian scoffed. "My first mistake.

"No," Peter laughed, but there was no emotion in it. "Your first mistake was thinking you could lead these people."

"Peter stop!" Athena told him.

Peter began to walk away. "Hey!" Caspian yelled. "I am not the one who abandoned Narnia."

Evie stepped forward to protest but Conan pulled her back. "You won't make things any better." He whispered to her.

"You invaded Narnia. You have no more right to lead it than Miraz does." Peter reminded him. Caspian began walking away. "You, him, your father...Narnia's better off without the lot of you!"

The two of them pulled their swords out but Conan and Athena, expecting this, disarmed them quickly.

"Stop acting like children and grow up! The pair of you!" Athena yelled at them. "You're not making things any better for yourselves by arguing like this!"

Edmund stopped them all by running through with an injured Trumpkin, causing Lucy to run forward and heal him. Athena gave Caspian back his sword, Conan doing the same with Peter.

Caspian then walked inside, strangely, with Nikabrik following. Once Trumpkin was cured, they all walked over to Athena who was stood there with her eyebrows furrowed and in deep thought.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked her.

"I have a bad feeling."

Athena's bad feeling led her to leave everyone outside and walk after Caspian, but Conan followed. "Why are you following me?" She asked.

"Incase you've forgotten, I'm your personal guard," He reminded her. "And you are currently rushing off into potential danger."

"Okay, fair."

They only waited five minutes before deciding to go save the day.

Peter, Edmund, Trumpkin, Conan and Athena all ran into the room of the stone table only to see Caspian standing with a bleeding hand, holding it out to what looked like realistic versions of the White Witch and Queen Evanna, presumably to bring them back to life.

Nikabrik and three ancient monsters Athena hadn't seen in a thousand years ran at them. Peter took on the hag while Athena, Conan and Edmund handled the three werewolves and Trumpkin ran to Nikabrik.

The werewolf jumped over her so she sliced his stomach, but it didn't cause much damage as he moved quickly. After it landed, it jumped again so she ducked low and cut its leg, causing it to howl in pain.

Taking the moment to her advantage, as his face was looking up, she sliced his throat causing him to fall down and be finished.

She looked up and saw Peter standing in front of her mother and the White Witch.

"Peter dear," the White Witch said. "We've missed you."

"Peter move!" Athena yelled and ran over.

"Athena, darling, we've missed you too." Evanna told her.

The two witches held their hands forward towards Peter and Athena. "Come on, just one drop." the White Witch lured them.

"Like hell." Athena protested.

"You know you can't do this alone." Evanna continued.

Athena looked in concern as Peter lowered his sword but was suddenly shocked when two swords ran through the witches. The ice fell to reveal Edmund and Conan behind, holding the swords that killed the witches.

"I know," Edmund looked at Peter. "You had it sorted."

Edmund walked away and Athena sighed and helped Caspian off the floor. "Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," He told her, still shaken up. "Are you?"

Athena let out a shaky breath. She had just seen her mother for the first time in thirteen hundred years. "I think so."

She walked off quickly but could still feel Conan behind her. "Athena," He called out. "Look at me."

She turned around and he hugged her after seeing the tears in her eyes. The woman that haunted her nightmares and destroyed her childhood had been right in front of her moments ago.

"I thought she was gone," Athena cried. "I thought I'd gotten rid of her."

Conan stroked her hair, feeling the tears on his shoulder. "That wasn't her, Athena. Your mother is gone."

Maybe in reality Queen Evanna was dead, but she would always be haunting Athena's nightmares.

Athena found Evangeline sitting on a ledge outside by herself. "Evie, are you alright?" She asked softly, sitting down next to her.

Evie didn't answer and simply put her head on Athena's shoulder. "I missed you, you know," Evie admitted. "I loved that I still had the Pevensie's with me, but it wasn't the same without you."

Athena sighed. "I missed you too. I really thought i'd gotten you back," She told her. "I thought we'd be alright and I'd get to watch you grow old with Edmund. Clearly fate had a different idea."

Evie let out a watery chuckle. "Gosh, we're lost without each other aren't we?"

"I'm not letting you out of my sight again, you hear me?" Athena told her and kissed her head. "Never again."

"Promise?" Evie asked.

"Promise."

They sat there for a moment in silence before Edmund came rushing over to them.

"Athena, you and Peter might want to see this."
