"This is so much nicer than the rooms my siblings and I got." Says Five trailing behind you. He looked around the room impressed almost with a hint of jealousy. "Being a Sparrow comes with its benefits, I guess." You pause not believing the following words were about to come out of your mouth. "You can crash here, if you'd like, since you know there's two beds." Five looks at you astonished by your offer. "Really?" You nod. "Yeah, you might've been a dick to me downstairs, but all is forgiven. Plus this room kind of gives me the creeps, I don't know how I feel about being here all alone." 'You had always been scared of being alone' he thought to himself.

"Thank you." he mumbles, followed by a shaky breath. "So what was it you wanted to talk about?" He finally asks. You hesitate trying to word this as best as possible. "You know I'm just going to be straight up. Back at the academy... when Jayme hit you with her hallucinations spit. You said my name, then you called me your love and your angel. You then kissed ...I just... I have to know what all that was about. Who are you? and how do you know me?" Five's cheeks flush red in embarrassment. "My siblings think that I know you. You and I both know that isn't true and honestly, I don't know what type of assumptions they're going to form off of that information. I don't want them believing I'm a traitor." Five nods still feeling embarrassed but completely understanding where you were coming from.

He sighs, takes in a deep breath and invites you to sit on the bed beside him. "Under two condition." You nod sitting next to him. "You have to promise me that you wont freak out and that you wont tell your siblings." He watched as you hesitated due to the last condition but regardless you nodded. "I promise." "Well..." he begins with a shaky tone, "as you may or may not know, I can spatial jump that includes time traveling. Back in 2002 I jumped forwards to April 1st 2019." Your head tilts. "So yesterday?" He nods. "Except in this timeline, my timeline, a piece of the moon crashes into earth killing everything and everyone in it. Including my siblings and well...you." "So I'm a part of your timeline?" He nods again.

Five proceeds to tell you about his time in the apocalypse, his discoveries, and the day The Handler found him. He told you about The Commission, and all the horrible things he had done while working for them, which lead to him coming back to his family, to you. How they found out Vanya was the cause of said apocalypse and how they stopped her, or so they thought. Only for them to end up scattered in Dallas, TX across the sixties. He had to find his siblings, who stayed in the sixties for longer than they should have. Which resulted in the second apocalypse, this time successfully stopping it. How The Commission tricked him and how the Handler killed you. How he tried to save you but it was too late. And how you told him you loved him before dying in his arms.

"So I died not only in one timeline, but two?!"

"Yeah sort of."

It was certainly a lot to take. Aside from Five being your lover in another life, it was odd knowing that there were alternate versions of you, that both their fates met death. Maybe that would be your end as well. Maybe you were destined to die young. "Five..." "Hm?" "Does that mean I'm going to die?" His heart drops. "I- I don't know, I'm sorry." "Ok." You sat legs crossed facing him. You look at him for a second making him nervous. "What?" He asks awkwardly. "Did you love me?" He turns to you red-faced. "Excuse me?" "Well you told me that I said I love you but you never mentioned saying it back." Part of you knew the answer based on his reaction to Jayme's spit, which much to his knowledge it showed you your deepest desires.

He deeply inhales looking at you slightly nodding. "Yeah," he mumbles. "A lot actually. I wanted to say it back but... you didn't let me. You said you wanted me to wait." You looked confused "Wait? Why?" "Not entirely sure. You said to wait and made me promise to find  you again...to say it then." His voice trembles recalling the event. He realized he hadn't really had any time to process your death and now being reunited with you, with a version that had no idea who he was pained him even more. Like someone had ripped his heart out, stepped on it a million times and gave it back to him, to deal with the pain. You watched as his green eyes filled with tears and without thinking you reached out to hold his hand. He flinched but soon relaxed feeling the warmth of your hand. The warmth that he once felt slowly escape your body. You didn't know how to comfort people, let alone someone who knows everything about you yet you only know their name.

All you could think of was placing a hand on his shoulder. "Shit uh... is it ok if I hug you?" You hesitantly ask. His breath hitched as he tried to not cry. "Yes." You scooch closer to him still a bit unsure but you still wrap your arms around him. He doesn't waste another second as he embraces you, his hands flying up to touch your hair. He brushed his fingers through your hair. The two remain that way for a bit before he finally pushes away. "Uh well we should probably sleep." He says. "Yeah um, did you wanna stay here?" You ask him. "Can I? I cant stands Luther's snoring." He says making you laugh, he smiles. "Of course." You say going to the bathroom to freshen up, leaving a smiling and blushing Five.

***

Five walk out of the bathroom after his morning shower, entangled in in his robe. He couldn't help but glance at your sleeping figure. The sun peeked into the room from the blinds, shining on your soft features. Five's gaze traveled all over your face from the way your shut eyelids would twitch, making him wonder what you were dreaming about. To the way your lips were slightly parted.

He breaks out his daze remembering he still needed to get dressed. After he does he hesitantly went to wake you up. Gently he shakes your shoulder. "Hey," you groan. Five smiles. " Come on, you're going to miss breakfast." Your eyes peel open. "Ugh fine" you mumble rubbing your eyes then stretching.

You sigh getting up and heading into the bathroom to freshen up, get dressed, etc. As you walk out the bathroom, you see Five fixing his hat in the mirror, seeming unsatisfied with his look. "You look like an old man" You say chuckling as you approach him. He glares at you. "Well I kind of am. Remember." He says looking back at himself in the mirror. "Shit you're right, my bad. Here, let me help." You walk to him, grab his shoulders, and turn him around to face you. You begin to unbutton the flannel he was wearing under the vest, revealing his white tee with red collar. Meanwhile, he tensed up, intently staring down at you, feeling butterflies forming in his stomach. His gaze traveled from your gentle hands to your lips. Resisting the urge to kiss you right then and there. He had to remember this wasn't the y/n from his time line, this was someone who had no real knowledge of who he really was. Yet, he couldn't shake the feelings. It was like falling for you all over again.

Maybe the two were destined to meet again after all.
