Back with another chapter so let's get this party started!

In the last chapter, Y/N met his idols, made some promises, cuddled with some cute sisters, and captured his first Pokémon. He also got some sweet new gear from the quint's mother! What lies in store for him in this one (and in the bag she gave him? Read on to find out!

As I mentioned in the last chapter, there's going to be some team additions in this one! Things may vary. Some may be official, some may be unofficial. Regardless, it's time to get crazy!

In the Flatlands

Y/N was hit with a big sense of deja vu upon returning to the flatlands. 'I mean... I was only here yesterday, but after everything that's happened, it feels like so long ago...' he thought as he and the quintuplets finally ceased their running and stopped to catch their breath.

A moment later, he heard a loud *thump* as Miku fell forward, face down, leg Bent sideways, an arm behind her back and lied there motionless. "Uh...Miku...? You good?" He asked as he knelt down beside her and gently poked her to check to see if she was still amongst the living. 'The way she's lying... I swear I've seen that pose before...'

A weak mumble escaped from Miku, but whatever she said was a mystery to Y/N due to the fact that she was face down in the grass. "Uh...I didn't catch that..." He said with a blank look as Yotsuba also knelt down beside her.

"She said: despite how good the shoes are, she forgot at how out of shape she is and that she sucks at running." Yotsuba said. Y/N looked up at her with a raised eyebrow as Yotsuba sweatdropped with an awkward smile. "Yeah...She kinda...uhh
...always came in last during runs at school and physical education is her worst subject..." She said as she poked her sister. "Miku...? You alive?"

"Mmph..." Miku mumbled dejectedly into the ground. Yotsuba looked up at Y/N with a sad look and gave him a small shake of her head.

"Um...it doesn't look good..." Yotsuba said sadly. "She said we should go on without her and leave her to her fate." She said.

Y/N looked at Yotsuba with a sweatdrop and blank look on his face. "Uh...You got all of...that...from 'mmph'?"

Yotsuba giggled as she winked and stuck her tongue out in an adorable fashion. "Shishishi...I...uh...might have paraphrased a bit..." She said. Regardless, Miku mumbled in the affirmative and weakly lifted a hand to give a thumbs up, signaling that Yotsuba's 'paraphrasing' was on point.

Y/N sighed as he stood up and crossed his arms. "Miku...you know full well that we aren't gonna just leave you here to die. Your mom would kill me if I came back with quadruplets." He said flatly. "Plus I can't fulfill my promise to you if I just leave you behind, you know..."

That reminder seemed to fo the trick as Miku groaned in frustration and lifted her head slightly, finally saying words that Y/N was able to deciper: "Carry me..." She whined as her head fell to the ground again.

Y/N pursed his lips, but eventually sighed and decided that it was probably for the best until she got her second wind. "I guess it can't be helped." He said with a chuckle. "Climb on."

Miku looked up, seeing that someone was directly in front of her, knelt down with their hands out, ready for her to climb aboard their. And without a second thought, Miku immediately scrambled up and climbed on, relishing in the opportunity for her to be carried around piggyback style.
