Goodbyes and a new quest

Finally after shifting left to right I was in a comfortable position even though my mind wondered to my boys what would have happened if they had heard our conversation and now they are with her. I knew it even though I hated myself for fixing their relationship with Layla I was happy my relation didn't get ruin. Thinking about what they might be doing was not a good idea eventually I dozed off.

MY DEAR WE SHALL MEET SOON

I woke to find the apartment empty. The boys were not back yet. I checked my phone to see if anyone has texted but no I sighed. After having my coffee and toasts I got a call from Steve to fix our meet. Oh my god oh my god I'm going to meet Steve again and Bucky I kept on jumping with excitement. I quickly went for shower and decided to go casual. Wearing a black t-shirt dress stopping right above my knees and pair it with white sneakers. I left my hair open with one final look I was ready to go.  I booked an Uber and the driver was in more hurry than me and I reached rather very fast. Steve and Bucky were going to meet at an open cafeteria. I got out of the Uber and saw the two guys chatting with each other. Oh my heart. I took a minute or two deciding how to go with one deep breathing I went to them

"Hey doll" Steve flashed his bright smile, Bucky turn around to see me and boom I was dead!
"Hey Steve" I smiled and he got up to give me a hug.
"Y/n meet James Buchanan Barnes" Steve introduced us
I gave my hand to Bucky "Hi nice to meet you James"
He took my hand and pressed his lips on my knuckles "Hi nice to meet you too you can call me Bucky" Oh my god I'm going to faint he kissed my hands pretty sure they both can see my red face! Bucky was friendly but shy and looked worried and I knew why. 
"Thanks for meeting me Bucky, Steve told me so much about you I had to meet you"
"No problem doll Steve kept on talking about you all night long and I can see why"
I blushed while Bucky gave a shy smirk and Steve roll his eyes in embarrassment 
We ordered coffee and snacks and kept on talking more. I notice Bucky was twitching his palm as the glove was sticking cause of the heat
"Hey Bucky can I ask you something?"
"Sure"
"Can you remove the glove?" 
"I'm..I'm not sure"
"Bucky I'm not going to force you but you don't have to hide your arm from me you are clearly uncomfortable with the sticky glove"
He was hesitant at first even Steve told him it is fine and he finally listened to us revealing his arm. "It is so cool" just like that I said it like a kid I mentally facepalmed myself only to hear two hearty laughs Steve was looking at me with adoration and Bucky with wide eyes filled with amusement I scoffed and pouted at them.
"What it is cool"
"Yes doll we can see in your eyes"
"Steve she is blushing"
"Yeah whatever" I tried looking everywhere except their eyes
I took Bucky's metal arm in my hand he was nervous for a bit but relaxed seeing my expression.
"It looks so real" I kept looking at it with happy big eyes like a child who got a favorite toy.
"You were right Steve she is different and beautiful" 
"Oh stop both of you" I blushed just after a few seconds I turn my gaze to look at the surroundings when I saw a man running with a mask and Khonshu running behind him! Khonshu I smiled thinking about him. "WORM" "KHONSHU!!!"
"Worm help me catch that man the mask is important it belongs to my friend"
I got up as soon as Khonshu told me both Steve and Bucky got up with worry in their eyes
"Hey what happened?" Bucky asked
"Hey doll are you alright?" Steve was worried
"That guy running with the mask I need to catch him"
"Why?" Both asked in unison
How do I tell them that I'm helping a god?
"My friend Khonshuana he works at a museum that mask in an artifact of ancient history"
Not knowing what the mask is I made up a story. Khonshuana!! Khonshu was angry I gave Khonshu a glare seriously what was important his name or the mask? Worm that mask belongs to Morpheus. I told Steve and Bucky that the mask belongs to Morpheus 
"The Sandman"
"The dream lord" both asked at the same time
"Yes and I need to catch him"
"Doll we are coming with you and no questions"
I nodded yes to Steve and he was right I could not catch the thief alone.
"Your friend has a weird name" Bucky joked which angered Khonshu even more
We kept running behind him till we lost him in one of the three alleys we decided to split up both Steve and Bucky were against the idea but we had no choice and guess what the thief was hiding in my selected alley.
"Oi give me the mask" I tried to sound dangerous and very confident
"Oh yeah sugar you'll have to come and take it from me unless" He gave me a cocky smirk 
"Unless what?" 
"How about we make a deal I'm going to get plenty for this mask join me you will live in luxury forever"
"No thanks now give me the mask"
"No can do sugar"
Sugar? I'll show you sweetness 
I decided to distract him hoping Steve and Bucky will catch up 
Do you even know to whom that mask belongs? He nodded a no
I took slow steps forward talking to him "It belongs to Morpheus, The Sandman, Dream Lord ever heard about him?"
"No why do I have to care? All I know is I'm going to be rich"
I was now very near him I gave him a smile he got confused and I slapped him hard on the face and took a hold of the mask and pull it hard from his grab 
"You bitch he shouted I kicked him in the groin area and he screamed in pain"
I was about to leave but he grabbed my leg and pulled me down on the ground 
This is it this is how I die with a mask in my hand
He got up and I was laying on the ground holding the mask tight he was about to hit me "You whor" before he could finish his sentence a cold metal arm hit his face and boom he was knocked out. 
"Didn't your mama teach you some manners? or maybe she did but you forgot"
"Bucky" I cried he quickly looked back at me and picked me up.
I gave him a tight hug and he hugged me back
"Shh its ok doll I got you no one will trouble you"
"Thank you Bucky you saved me" I was about to kiss his cheek but due to the fall I had sprained my ankle and I ended up kissing him on the lips he kissed back even though it was a small kiss it felt like hours long. 
"I.. I..I'm"
"Don't doll you'll ruin it"  I was surprised by what Bucky said and hugged him again. Steve came back running towards us. He saw the unconscious guy on the ground and understood everything was under control. "Doll are you ok?"
"Yes just sprained my ankle Bucky saved me"
"That guy needs to learn manners" 
"I'm sorry you both I ruin our time"
Bucky who was still holding me spoke first "Hey don't say that we had a great time we were done with the snacks look at this like an exercise to digest food"
I laughed at Bucky's weird but cute sense of humor . Both boys came with me home neither wanted to leave me alone and I got a text from Marc he was not going to come back till tomorrow! I was glad Steve and Bucky were with me for the time being.
"Doll you have so many books"
"That's what I said to her, apparently they belong to her friend and flat mate Steven"
"He sure reads alot" Bucky was in awe looking at the books. We ordered pizza for dinner though they had to leave later on, tomorrow they were going back home.
"The pizza was great"
"The donuts were great Buck"
"I think both were amazing"

The boys left sometime around midnight Bucky gave me his number  and told me even he would take me to his favorite place. Later I was again alone with the mask. 
"Khonshu?"
"Yes worm"
"I miss them" I can feel tears again
"I know worm they are good people I pray you meet them again"
"I'm alone"
"You have us and they are missing you too"
"Thank you Khonshu"
"My sweet worm"

"How are we going to return the mask?"
"Just when you sleep"
"What you mean?"
"You know Morpheus the lord of dreams you can enter his realm in your dream"
 "Will you be there?"
"Yes my worm don't worry"
"So now what?"
"You go to sleep and I will meet you in his realm"
"How will you go?"
"Worm I'm a god I can go anywhere"
"Oh"
"Good night worm"
"Good night see you soon"
