(I tried something a little different to the story mimicking I normally do, tell me what you think about it.)
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to this ultimate time killer. No, I mean, the great Fighting Festival! But before we get things underway, we'll need to prepare the arena. Alright, Drole. Are you ready?" Gloxinia asks as he turns towards Drole. Drole moves his arms around.
"This is boring." I mumble, I sense a lot of people I know, no doubt he's here. I turn my head to see Gloxinia.
"Spirt Spear Basquias, ninth configuration! Death Thorn!" The vines turn into spiky stems that wreak havoc on anyone still trapped in the maze. King flies up to look at Gloxinia, I quickly hide behind Drole's leg.
"Death Thorn comes from the sharp spikes that grow at the very top of the Sacred Tree and destroy any threats Sunflower alone can't handle." King gasps. "Hold on. Basquias is the spirit spear that's bestowed upon the first one who's chosen by the Sacred Tree! But how? it's impossible. First Fairy King Gloxinia?" King asks wide-eyed.
"That's a name I haven't heard in ages. I'm with the 10 commandments now, called Gloxinia of Repose." Gloxinia smiles.
"I thought you were defeated by the Demon King. Weren't you taken down during that battle 3,000 years ago?" King asks. Gloxinia finally turns towards him.
"Hm? Are you from the Fairy Race, too?" Gloxinia asks.
"Just answer my question!" King snaps.
"What you need to do is win this competition. Then, if you wish for it, I'll tell you whatever you want." Gloxinia says, causing King to give up and fly back down. "Now, it's about time for us to get this Great Fighting Festival started!" Gloxinia turns to talk to someone. "Alright, Taizoo, you're up next!"
I sigh, watching everything happen in kind of haze, why do I feel so out of it? I rub my head, was it the fruit Gloxinia gave me? No, it isn't my stomach that feels weird, it's my head, it's all foggy. Suddenly Drole nudges me with his foot.
"Huh?" I look up.
"You guys might as well join in on this, too." Gloxinia says to me and his weird blue bird demon creatures. "Wait... If we just had one more group, then that would bring the total up to 20, now, wouldn't it? Let's bring out our substitutes." Gloxinia says as from the ground a fairy made of plants and a giant who mimics the looks of Drole made of rock form.
"With our 20 teams, this tag match could officially begin!" Taizoo shouts. "Each pair of you will find yourselves at a random arena. When another two-person team appears, they will be your first-round opponents!"
I sigh and look around to see who I'm teamed up with.
"...Huh...?" I pause. "It's a little kid." I tilt my head as I crouch down to offer my hand to the timid little boy. "Hey, it's okay, I'll protect you." I smile softly as he takes my hand.
"I-I'm scared!" The boy says, I pat him on the head.
"Hey, wait a second. You look familiar..." I stare at him for a moment before it clicks. "Wait! Griamore!?"
"Huh? Are you Y/n?" He tilts his head.
"Mhm, what happened to you? You're so cute now." I pick him up, he giggles.
"I don't know." He holds his arms up in a confused mannerism. I turn my head to see who I happen to be up against.
"..." I set Griamore down.
"Huh? What's wrong?" He asks as he flows my gaze. I start walking towards the middle of the rank and the other person does the same. Griamore runs over to the other person on their team.
