Slight gore warning! I'm not the best at writing gore so don't worry too much :)

I woke up and felt refreshed for the first time in a long time.  I got ready for the day and headed out to the portal.  I made sure no one was around then headed into the portal hallway.

    I wasn't running low on money but I did want to get a little a more just because I could.  That being said I headed over to the restricted portals.  Only those with a pass could get to them.  You could only obtain a pass either through a connection or from being recognized for certain abilities.  Luckily you could never physically lose your pass seeing as it was like a tattoo.  The only way to lose your pass is by failing too many times.  I once saw someone lose their pass.  It wasn't pretty.

    I got to the portals and showed the guard my pass.  He let me in and I headed straight toward the Hypixel portal.  Sure there were other portals that led to easier challenges but I was better at Hypixel's bedwars challenge.  I headed over to the bedwars icon and was teleported to one of the lobbies.  I watched as other people got teleported into the lobby then watched as the timer ticked down to zero.

    I was then teleported to my base where I quickly went to collect resources. Once I got enough resources, I traded some of them for wool and a better sword. I quickly built a decent layer of protection around my bed then bridged toward the closest diamond generator. Someone else had bridged to the island I was on so I quickly made my way to their base. I didn't see them anywhere so I broke through their bed defense then broke their bed.

    I turned around to see the bed's owner charging at me. I grabbed my sword and we got locked in a duel. He almost hit me a few times but before he could land a blow I got behind him a stabbed him through the heart, getting his blood on me in the process. He died instantly and was eliminated, the chime ringing through my ears confirming it. I always hated this part of this game. I headed back to my base, picking up some diamonds on my way, as the strong metallic smell flooded my senses.

    I cashed in some of the diamonds for reinforced armor and sharpness on my sword. I got some more wool then stored the rest of my resources in my chest. I headed back out and saw that the guy I killed had made a bridge to the middle. Instead of making my own bridge, I decided to use his. As I got to the middle, I picked up quite a few emeralds. I made my way back to my island, careful to not run into anyone. I cashed in the emeralds for a few ender pearls that would definitely come in clutch later.

    I saw someone bridging to my base.  I didn't have a bow so I just let them bridge.  The second they stepped foot on my island, I quickly knocked them off.  I hadn't killed him for good, just sent them back to their base.  I heard a chime ring through my ears so I looked up towards the middle of the arena to see that we were now down to six players.  I wanted to get the over quickly so I headed back to the middle.  I wasn't too worried about the guy that tried to get my bed.

    I got to the middle to find a few people fighting.  Not wanting to get involved in that, I headed over to one of the bases and destroyed the bed.  I repeated the process two more times before I heard the sound signaling that my bed had been broken.  Oh well, it's not like that stops me from winning.  I heard two more chimes and saw that we were down to half the amount of players we started with.

    I was making sure that I was still good on wool when I heard footsteps behind me.  I turned just in time to dodge an attack that definitely could have killed me.  Pulling out my sword, I aimed for his chest.  He stepped to side just in time.  Ok so this guys isn't half bad.  If it hadn't been for me always listening to my surroundings this guy would have definitely killed me.  The two of us went back and forth for a while dodging and attacking each other. 

    My opponent went to stab my stomach but I moved.  I apparently didn't move quick enough because I felt a sharp pain in my side followed by a strong metallic smell.  I looked down to see a large gash in my side.  That's gonna hurt later.  I landed a quick blow to the guy's chest and he fell back, dead.  I heard the usual chime that signaled we were down to three players.  Pulling out a gapple, I ate it while another chime rang out.  I felt a bit better and was hoping that the last person was down on their health too. 

    I made my way back to the middle and looked around for the other person.  Just then an arrow flew past face, narrowly missing me.  I turned and saw a person with a bow in her hand.  They had light brown hair that was dyed blue and purple in the front.  They also had fox ears and a bright orange fox tail.  They looked like they had also been beaten up a bit from whoever they had fought last.

    They pulled out a sword and the two of immediately got into a fight.  It wasn't hard to tell that the two of us were tired and wanted to end this quickly.  After a long five minutes, they landed a good blow that knocked me off the edge.  I threw one of the ender pearls I still had left and landed behind them.  I stabbed my sword through their chest, killing them quickly.  I heard one last chime before I was teleported back to the Hypixel lobby. 

    I saw the person with the fox ears and they came up to me.

    "Hi!" they said very enthusiastically even though they just lost.  "You're Purpled right?"  I nodded as a response.  "That was great fight!  I had fun and congrats on the win."

    "Thanks," I responded.  This is weird.  Most people don't come up to me after losing to me in bedwars.

    "The name's Fox, Nightfox," they introduced themself. 

    "Nice to meet you," I said.  I don't get why they're introducing themself.  It's not like I'll see them again.

    "Nice to meet you too!" They said as we started walking back to the portal.  "I hope we get to fight again someday.  And next time I'll win for sure!"

    "Sure you will," I said, rolling my eyes a bit.  We said our goodbyes in the portal hallway and headed our separate ways.  I got back to the portal that lead to the Dream SMP and walked in.

    I quickly made my way home and opened the door.  I needed to patch myself up quickly as I was still bleeding a bit.  I walked in and closed the door.  I froze as I heard someone speak.

    "Where have you been?"
