I forgot how bright it was on SMPEarth. Tommy came through the portal and stood next to me, unbothered by the brightness. Lucky. Then again he isn't an alien hybrid and doesn't spend most of his time in the dimly lit portal hallway.
I was suddenly being dragged by my arm as Tommy started running. I'm assuming he's taking us to the house the Business Bay owns. We aren't exactly welcomed in other places so we always kept to ourselves. Well I did anyway. The others? Not so much. It kept things lively though so I'll give them that.
My assumption was correct as we stopped outside a decently made building. Tommy flung the front door open and we walked in. Two people rushed into the room, swords raised, only to immediately drop them when they saw us. Before us stood our old friends, Bitzel and Luke. They ran towards us, only stopping to pull us into a group bear hug. I winced slightly as my wound from the day before still hurt.
"Boss! Purp! It's been way too long," I heard Luke say.
"We thought you two wouldn't come back," Bitzel chimed in.
"We can't stay for too long," I said as we got let go. "Unfortunately, someone has a reputation of becoming popular wherever he goes." I stared at Tommy and he gave a weak smile in response.
"That sucks," Bitzel said.
Just then I heard Tommy gasp. I turned to him to see him on the verge of tears as he stared past me. Turning to see what he was looking at, I too gasped as I saw someone I thought was dead.
"Deo?" I heard Tommy say in such a soft voice that I could have imagined it.
"Hey you two," he said with a smile.
Tommy and I both ran to Deo and tackled him in a hug. I was crying at this point and I knew Tommy was too. Our last memory of him was seeing him get stabbed as he pushed us through a portal. I pulled away from the hug and looked at him through my tears. The second Tommy pulled away I punched Deo in the shoulder.
"Ow!" Deo exclaimed. "What was that for? Jeez you can pack a punch."
"That's for making us think you were dead," I explained while drying my tears.
"I know," he said, rubbing his shoulder slightly. "I'm sorry. I had to get you two out of here. Also you kept my hoodie?"
"It's comfy okay," I stated.
"We appreciate it but we don't appreciate the fact that for years we thought you were dead," Tommy said.
"I know, I know," Deo said once more. "I couldn't exactly leave though. I got caught up in another war that just ended a few weeks ago."
"Jeez, what did you do this time?" Tommy asked.
"Pissed someone off again," Deo said nonchalantly.
"Of course you did," I said, laughing slightly.
We all sat down on the couch and caught up with what had been going on in both worlds. Tommy got to talking about what he had been doing and going through. He literally started at the beginning. By the end of his story, the other were staring at him with horrified looks. Deo also had a look of anger in his eyes. No one was talking and I could feel Tommy shift slightly where he was sitting. I knew I was going to regret saying this but I wanted to get the attention off of him.
"I've been fighting in Hypixel games," I said quickly. I felt all eyes, even Tommy's, shift toward me.
"You've been WHAT?!" Luke, Deo, and Bitzel yelled at the same time causing both Tommy and I to flinch.
