John's PoV

Me and Jade had been the best of friends since birth, and I can't belive I get to see her again. Years ago my father and I had to move away due to his baking business taking off and I had to leave sunny Texas behind for glomy Washington. Today was the day we moved back into the same old house from when I was young. My dad pulled into the driveway and I sprinted out of the car before he could even get a chance to stop. I swung the front door open to the old dusty house, the smell of old furniture and wood filled my nostrils. I looked over to the entrance of living room and saw the mirror that I could never see in because I was so small, It didn't look small now. I had left the house at the age of 11 and puberty must of hit me hard now, everything didn't seem so small. I am 18 now, with my father's raven black hair and my mother's crystal blue eyes, and of course my thick rimmed nerdy lookin glasses I could not see without. With beautiful eyes comes the lack of eyes sight my father always told me. As I admired myself a thought came to mind. Not a thought but a person.
"JADE!" I yelled again running out of the house. She lived at the end of the block in a cute green house, from what I remember still lives there. I ran up the steps to the door and knocked. All of a sudden my stomach turned, and the feeling of worry filled me. Does she even remember me.
"Hold on there is someone at the door, stop!" She giggled behind the door. Oh crap she's coming. I felt like running away but my legs didn't move. The door opened and a girl with long brown hair down to her waist and big green eyes peered up at me.
"How can i... john?"
"H-hey Jade..." I stumbled on my words. Jade screamed and jumped into my arms hugging me tight.
"Oh my god john I've missed you so much!" She laughed into my neck.
"I missed you too" I said hugging back harder.
"So you know each other?" A boy spoke from the doorway. Oh shit.
