(Winner of the poll is the Broadsword, so that will be the weapon for the rest of this series' run. I'll publish what options will be opened if you choose other weapons (or not at all) in the end :>)

(Might be last post of this 3 days spree I have then go back to the abyss called life)

(This was supposed to be longer but then again it'll be too long and people will click off so. Yeah. Half half of chapter two )

PART 1.5 --- Upskill, and Forfeit. Two (left)

After some thought, you reached out ang grabbed the handle of the broadsword.

"Oh, that's a powerful weapon." Woolf nodded. "With its ability and advantages in battle, it's the best weapon for fighting!" He then paused. "W-Well, uh, I hope you don't have to use it to hurt people, of course."

"Now that we got the perfect weapon for you, we'll get Dino to teach you a thing or two on how to use it." Woolf jutted his thumb to the door. "He's probably out there now, so let's go visit him."

You followed Woolf out of the train cart, as sunlight basked your surroundings once you've stepped out of the cart. You glanced up to the wide and vast skies above. Still, the clouds look too perfect to be real.

"Hey, Dino!" Woolf called out, catching the attention of the man who's sharpening his blade. The latter peeked out of the corner of his eye and hummed in response.

"You think you can give some pointers for (Y/n)? Since you're the only one who can use weapons between any of us." Woolf shrugged. Dino stood up and dusted off his clothes, nodding in the midst of it. "Sure. 'Gotta help the Destined Traveler reach their goals, after all."

"Great." The coal-haired boy clasped his hands together. "I'll prepare our other supplies for this trip and map out our route." With that he disappeared again to the cart.

Hesitantly, you glanced back from the train cart to Dino, who seemed to tidy up whatever equipment he had used to sharpen his cutlass and placed it in some sort of toolbox. Deciding that maybe it was best to try and start a conversation with him to fill in the silence, you took a deep breath in, and...

"S-So, uh, we're going to practice, right?"

Dino glanced up from his toolbox and gave a curt nod. "Yeah, that's what Woolf told you, didn't he?"

You mentally facepalmed yourself. Right. He did tell you that. Great job on making yourself look more awkward, (Y/n)!

Dino lifted up his toolbox before glancing your way. "I'll just need to put this away for a second. Then we'll start the training."

"Yep! Uh, sure thing, no worries." You assured him as you kept your gaze on his way to put away the toolbox. A sigh escaped your lips, as you glanced down at the broadsword in your hands, feeling like it was the perfect fit yet it still had this weird feeling to it.

Perhaps you were still unused to the fact that you are about to master medieval weaponry.

"Right, prepare your stance." Dino instructed as soon as he returned. You immediately straighten your back and puffed out your chest, trying to toughen up your stance to look more intimidating and scary.

"...Not like that."

Almost immediately, your chest deflated as your back hunched a bit slightly. Well, that was embarrassing.

"In choosing a stance for fighting, you have three things to pull off." Dino explained. "Mobility, stability, and comfort. Keep that in mind."

You nodded. Right, mobility, stability, and comfort.
