Chapter 13: drunk endings

--Ella's Pov--

"I'm never coming out with you lot ever again," I whisper as Chris holds my hair back. I'm currently hunched over a bush after a vicious game of pub golf. At this point, I've forgotten whose channel this is for. Chris rubs my back as Kelsey hands me water.

Chip gives me a sad smile, "I hate to break it to you but that's plus three," he says making me roll my eyes. I stand up straight sipping on the water as he tally's up his points. My movements are wobbly as we walk back inside the club to find the others. Harry, Reev, Arthur, and Theo are drunkenly dancing together by the bar.

"How's the little champion?" Theo asks looking directly at Chris, "Oh wait he didn't win," he whispers making him sigh.

"Congratulations to team Theo and Reev," Chip slurs as he leans on a chair. I look at Kelsey and she nods her head telling me it's time to go. Thank god. Arthur takes her hand and starts whispering in her ear making me smile.

"Do you want to stay at our place tonight?" I ask Chris as the others get distracted. It's been hard not to think about everything that's happened in the past month. I promised myself I wouldn't focus only on Chip. But I do know that nothing has happened since he came to the apartment and I'm done waiting around for him. It's pathetic at this point.

He nods his head and finishes off his beer before saying bye to the guys. I walk over to Kelsey and Arthur to see them ordering the car, "Ready when you are," Chris says walking over with his cute dinosaur onesie on. I'm still disappointed that Chris and I didn't win but it's fine. I am mostly to blame.

"You should keep this," I tell him as we start walking outside. He laughs as I look at him up and down.

"You look pretty cute in this," he says playing with the large fabric spikes ears sewn on the back of my costume, "Very ferocious," he adds making me smirk. We stand by the curb of the club for a couple of minutes before the door opens again.

"You didn't say goodbye," Chip says walking over to us. His eyes travel over where Chris is holding onto my waist. Mostly to keep me upright, "Are you guys sharing a cab?" He asks.

"Nah, mate. I'm staying with them for the night," Chris says as I bite my lips watching the exchange.

"Oh"

"I'd say come with but I'm passing out as soon as we get back," I mumble rubbing my eyes. He nods his head and makes small talk with Arthur and Kelsey. He waves goodbye when the car comes. Chris sits up front and the three of us crawl into the back. My head is leaning on the window. I have my eyes closed listening to Chris talk to the driver. I close my eyes and let myself get distracted.

The four is us end up stumbling into the apartment with Arthur running after Kelsey. His hands already tying her hair up so she doesn't get sick on it, "Now that's love," I whisper making Chris laugh. He pulls the hood of his onesie down and starts walking to my room after kicking his shoes off.

"Wait I liked the hood," I tell him jogging after him. I accidentally run into the wall making him laugh. He sits on the edge of my bed with his hands behind him keeping him upright, "I've always loved dinosaurs," I tell him as I go to my drawers to grab pajamas.

"So have I," he says unzipping the front. I walk to the bathroom and quickly change into shorts and a T-shirt before walking back in. Chris is already comfy in bed with his phone plugged into my charger, "How are you feeling?" He asks as I lay down.

"I think brushing my teeth was all I needed," I tell him as he pulls me closer. I let out a content sigh as I get comfy with my head on his chest, "How about you?" I ask. He rubs his hand up and down my back thinking about tonight.

"I think when we got to bar number four I started to lose it," he says making me smile. Bar number four was my favorite. We have amoretto sours and Chip ended up falling out of his chair. He pulled me down with him but it was a fun moment.

"I think everyone was dying after that," I tell him.

"We have to get breakfast in the morning to debrief. Cause Kelsey always sees things that I miss," I tell him as my voice shows off how sleepy I really am.

"Sounds good to me," he whispers as he leans over and turns the light off.
