--Ella's Pov--

"Holy hell," I whisper as we walk through the doors of the club. Kelsey nudges my shoulder and smirks.

"See I told you. Arthur said tonight is the craziest night of the year," she informs me.

"Speaking of Arthur," I whisper looking around. I see him at the bar and tell Kelsey so we can walk over. Halfway through the crowd he sees us and runs over kissing Kelsey. He gives me a quick hug and we walk back to the bar with him.

"How are you ladies doing?" He asks laughing as he sees our reaction to being called ladies.

"I'm in need of shots," I tell him as I flag the bartender down. He comes over and smiles giving me the eyes you only see from someone who isn't planning on going home alone.

"What can I do for you?" He asks leaning down so he can hear me.

"Four shots of tequila," I tell him. He nods his head and sets up four glasses. He grabs a bottle of top-shelf tequila and does a couple of bottle flips. He spills the liquid into the tiny glasses before pouring an extra.

I pick up the first one and cheer him before we both send them back. He hands me a lime and I thank him as I get the disgusting taste from my mouth, "Kelsey?" I ask as she walks over. She gladly takes two of the shots and walks back over to Arthur.

"What's your name?" The bartender asks as I take the second shot.

"Ella"

He holds his hand out, "I'm Liam," he says shaking my hand, "Do you come here often?" He asks.

"No, this is my first time at this club," I tell him as I hear angry people trying to get his attention, "I'll be back. Go do your job," I tease. I turn back to the crowd and look around seeing most of the sidemen. I brush my hair to my side and feel hands covering my eyes.

"Guess who?" A voice asks making me laugh.

"what are you doing Chris?" I ask turning around. I wrap my arms around him as he laughs.

"Enjoying yourself?" He asks as he eyes up the bartender.

"if Chips is not around the day is perfect," I tell him as he gives me a sympathetic look, "But tonight's about moving on and maybe sleeping with the bartender," I say with a wink.

"Come on Romeo," he says putting his arm around my shoulders. We walk to a table with Arthur, Kelsey, the other Arthur, George, and Cam.

"What are everyone's goals by the end of the night?" George asks as we sit down.

"To not go home alone," I announce getting cheers in return.

"Maybe I can help you with that," Cam says making me laugh as he leans back in his chair.

"I think all of our goals are to go home with a hot woman," Arthur Hill says.

"We can make it a competition," I offer sliding my hands on the table.

"Okay, but we all saw you and the bartender. You have to pick another guy," George says as Chris sips on his beer beside me, "And none of this," he says pointing to us. I widen my eyes and blush as Chris loses it.

"Alright damn. Stop analyzing my love life," I tell him.

"May the best man win," he says as we all get up from the table. I pull my dress down a little showing off more cleavage. Chris raises his eyebrow at me as I flip my hair and make it more fluffy.

"Nervous you'll lose?" I ask as we walk towards the dance floor. He laughs as we break apart to find our targets for the night. There's a man nearly six feet standing in the corner with a drink. His phone is pressed to his ear and he looks annoyed. So he's a no-go. I smile when I see Arthur Hill dancing with a girl already.

"Do you want to dance?" A man asks making me jump. I turn around seeing it's Harry and smile.

"You scared the shit out of me," I tell him as he leads me to the dance floor, "I need your help," I tell him as his hands secure around my waist.

"With what?" He asks.

"I'm in a competition to find a guy to go home with tonight. Do you know any eligible bachelors?" I ask as he looks around the club.

"Chip," he says making me stop all my movements.

"What do you mean?" I ask as he looks at me seriously.

"He broke up with Cassidy yesterday. Did she actually slap you?" He asks looking amused. I touch my cheek which has a slight mark under my makeup.

"Why....when?" I ask confused.

"She was bragging about how she won him to her friends on the phone. Chip went ballistic," he says, "He's been trying to find you all night," he tells me.

"I have nothing to say to him. He's an asshole and I've moved on," I tell Harry before walking off. He tries to get me back over but I know he's stalling until Chip can find us. I see Chris ordering a drink at the bar and quickly rush over.

"Running away from a guy?" He asks ordering me a drink.

"Chip and Cassidy broke up," I tell him.

"Isn't that a good thing?" He asks confused. He hands me the drink and we start walking back to the table.

"No he's an asshole and I deserve better," I tell him not even believing what I'm saying, "I'm sorry I keep dragging you into this but what do I do?" I ask.

He laughs and looks straight ahead, "I don't know but I would come up with something quick," he whispers making me panic. I down the rest of my drink as I make eye contact with Chip. He's almost at the table when Chris excuses himself to let us talk.

"Hey," he says when he stops at the edge of the table. The drink in his hand is mostly melted ice.

"I have to get a refill," I tell him as I stand up from the booth. He holds onto my arm and whispers my name. I can't help but lean into his touch as I stare at him.

"Please," he adds as I fight every instinct in my body, "I need five minutes," he tells me.

"You knew I liked you. Then you asked me to dinner. You made it sound like a date and I spent hours getting ready. Then I walk to the restaurant and see you and her getting out of the car together," I tell him feeling my heart shatter all over again.

"You had Chris"

"He was there for me when I needed him unlike you have been for months," I state.

"Ella," he says as his hand touches my waist. I push away from him and tell him I need to leave. I see Harry on the way out and tell him to tell the others I felt sick and left. He gives me a sad smile before nodding his head. I raise my hand and hail a taxi but Chip is already behind me.

"Don't run away again," he says making me scoff.

"I'm moving on, there's a difference," I tell him as the car stops, "I can't keep letting you walk all over me".
