Isen's eyes lingered over his phone screen, anxiously waiting for a reply. He bit his lip once he noticed the three dots disappear. Maybe he shouldn't have said that. Maybe Blyke just wanted company, or something.

Things had been weird since Blyke came back from his suspension. Blyke had been weird, more specifically. He was being super... nice. Blyke was a nice person, yeah, but not to Isen. Not in a mean way– they were just like that. They called each other assholes, they didn't send each other smiley faces.

A small thumbs up icon appeared on Isen's "k" message. He furrowed his eyebrows and stared at it. Was Blyke possessed? This was concerning. He went from his texts with Blyke to Remi's contact. He pressed the phone icon.
It rang twice before she picked up. Remi always answered calls quickly. She used to hate calls, but after Rei a lot of her habits changed. Isen picked up on that. Isen picked up on a lot of things. Most things.
"Isen?" he heard a quiet voice from the phone. He put the phone on speaker.
"Yeah, hi– is Blyke acting weird to you?"
Remi's end was quiet for a few moments. "What do you mean?"
"He's being... nice."
"Isn't he always?"
"To you. Cause everyone's like, in love with you or something," Isen pointed out. "We literally get into fights weekly. He sent me a smiley face. A smiley face, Rem."
