Ali sighed, if he removed the tracking device then Nikolas would know he knew. And James would probably order Nikolas to attack him or something soon.
So does he prolong having to fight his son? Or does he sadly fight his son now?
"Ali," Kila sighed over the phone, "You don't have a choice. You need to remove that device."
"I can't Kila. I'd need to fight Nikolas sooner otherwise." Ali said.
"Ali, your son is probably dying in his own mind right now. He needs you to save him again and soon. Nikolas will feel awful if he attacks you but he'd be angry if you let him suffer like this. Thinking James of all people is his father." Kila said.
"Okay. Okay. I'll remove it now." Ali said.
"Good." Kila said.
Ali sighed as he removed the chip. It made a beeping sound as he crushed it between his fingers.
"Ali, is it gone?" Kila asked.
"Yeah. It's all gone." Ali sighed.
"Ali, I'm trying to rearrange a trip back there earlier than usual. Su-Han said I couldn't leave so I'm re-debating terms so I can leave for a bit." Kila explained.
"Kila, are you sure? You know Su-Han. He's the most stubbornst person I've ever met. And Nikolas is stubborn as well." Ali said.
"Ali," Kila said. She sounded like she was trying not to laugh at the playful insult at his own son, "I'll be fine."
"But after everything that you've been through to get to wear you are-"
"Ali," Kila cut through "I'll be fine. Everything I've ever done I chose to do it. And I'm making this decision as well." Kila said.
"Okay. If your confident then I'm confident in it." Ali said.
"Good." Kila said. He faintly heard Su-Han shout at her "I have to go."
"Yeah clearly. Good luck. And inform Su-Han." Ali said.
"Yeah I will and good luck to you too." Kila said. The phone was instantly cut from the call.
Ali sighed and rested his face in his hands. "How am I missing all this?" He whispered to himself. "James could've made Nikolas either attack or leave us." He whispered.
Suddenly the door was knocked on, "Come in."
Nikolas opened the door with a small smile, "Parwiz keeps texting me but he's talking about that man." Nikolas explained.
"Nikolas, sit down." Ali said and gestured to the seat opposite him.
Nikolas frowned but obliged.
"Now, is Ami here?" Ali asked.
Nicholas stared at him "She's taken Nino with her grocery shopping."
"Perfect. We need to find that machine. The one that man had... used on you." Ali explained.
Nicholas froze, "Why?"
"Because I know now that that man has used the machine on you. And while you can't remember it-"
Suddenly Nikolas started laughing, "I remember everything. I remember all the pain, the electricity hitting my head." Nicholas laughed harder "And I remember James just laughing. I've figured it all out now! James is my father." Nikolas said as he cuffed Ali's right wrist to his chair handle.
Ali simply stared "Nikolas, son, I'm your father." He shaked his wrist and the cuff wiggled from it.
"Prove it." Nikolas said.
