That night I layed in bed and started overthinking again. What will they say about me? Will I say something wrong? Will I act stupidly? Will I look like a little kid?

I could talk about this with Cassie if she was here, I could cross the hall, open her bedroom door, lay in bed with her and tell her all of this, but she's not here now.
I hear someone knocking on the door.
- Come in. -I say wiping out my tears.
- Hey darling, are you okay?- my mother says worried.
- Yeah, I mean, I was just thinking about Cassie.
- Would you rather telling me what you did this afternoon? If it would make you feel better.
- Sure. Well, Lana and I were gossiping the whole afternoon.
- About what? - mom says with a curious smile
- Nothing interesting, but when we were about to say goodbye tho each other, she asked me if I wanted to meet her friends.
- And do you want to? - mom asks
-Yes, I would love to.- I reply.
- So what's the matter?
- I was thinking that maybe her friends aren't as friendly as her and they decide that I can't be in the group or something like that.
- Darling, I spoke to Lana a couple of times and I know she is a good person. She wouldn't tell you to meet her friends if she knew they weren't going to treat you well.
- Okay.
- Don't worry about anything. It'll be alright. Just make sure you act like yourself and don't forget that if something goes wrong me and you dad will always be by your side. - she says kissing my forehead as she did when I was a kid.- now go to sleep, it's very late.
- Goodnight mom.
- Goodnight Betty. - she says leaving my bedroom.

The following week is exhausting even though we are almost finishing the last exams and we don't have a lot of things to do, I can't sleep or for the five next days just being able to think about the meeting on Saturday.
