Gina made up some random excuse why she couldn't join Heather in their treehouse today, and invited Melanie over to give her some dating advice. "So, first you're gonna have to stop being such an asshole." Gina explained. "I'm not an asshole!" Melanie yelled. "Sure, sure." Gina rolled her eyes. "Just try to be more nicer." she continued. "How am I supposed to do that when you two act like idiots?" Melanie asked. Gina put her hand on Melanie's shoulder and sighed. "Sweet, naive, Melanie. If you want to date someone, you can't be a little tsundere. That's how you get murdered by some other jealous girl." she said. "WHAT!?" Melanie shouted. "Kidding, kidding! I just stole that from a video game. But, you do have to be nicer. You don't have to be an ass kisser, but you can't be rude. That's how you drive Heather away from you." Gina said. Melanie thought for a moment. "Okay, fine." she replied. "Good! Now, about your wardrobe choices..." Gina said, deep in thought. "What's wrong with my clothing?" Melanie asked. "Nothing! But, uh.. It isn't really...attractive." Gina said. "I have to be attractive for her to like me? I thought she never cared about looks.." Melanie said, disappointed. "It's not that, but it would help if you looked more presentable. Maybe some less nerdy clothes. Something like what I wear!" Gina said. "I don't think I'm gonna be able to pull off wearing a pink short skirt." Melanie explained. "No, no, this is my style. I'm the only one in this school who can pull it off anyways." Gina replied. "So you're saying I should wear something more girly?" Melanie asked. "No, just something that'll make people stop and look at you and say, 'Wow, she's attractive.' Trust me, I get it everyday." Gina smiled. Melanie rolled her eyes. Gina kept telling Melanie some dating tips and ways to get Heather to like her more, and for the smartest person in the school, Gina had to keep explaining over and over modern day slang to Melanie. But soon, she finally got it.

"You ready?" Gina asked. "I think so. But I feel so anxious.." Melanie replied. Gina encouraged Melanie to try and strike up a conversation with Heather. Flirt, joke around, all that stuff. "Alright, go get her. Good luck!" Gina smiled. Melanie smiled back slightly before walking over to Heather. "Hey, Heather.." Melanie said, fidgeting with her hands nervously. "Oh, hey Melanie!" Heather said. "So, uhm.. I've been thinking that you're not as bad as I thought you were." Melanie said awkwardly. "Oh," Heather laughed, "Thanks, I guess." she said. Melanie forced a laugh. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh... Do you think I'm not attractive?" Melanie asked out of the blue. Gina face-palmed as Heather's eyes widened. "Oh wow, that's a question!" Heather chuckled. "Am I..?" Melanie asked again. "Well, looks don't really matter to me. It's the personality that counts. But, I'd say you're pretty attractive in my eyes." Heather smiled. "Really?" Melanie blushed. "Yeah!" Heather said. Melanie's face began to turn into a huge red mess. "Holy shit-...I..I GOTTA GO." Melanie said a bit aggressively before walking away quickly. She went back over to Gina. "Woah, for a sec I thought you were gonna blow it! But you fucking scored, girl!" Gina said, hyped. Melanie started breathing heavily and took a puff of her inhaler. "Oh my god.. I feel like I'm dying.." she said. "You're in love! And this just increased your chances!!" Gina said enthusiastically. "Why is love so suffocating-" Melanie complained. "That's how it is, Melanie. But it'll be worth it once you and my best friend start dating!" Gina explained. "It better be." Melanie replied.
