-Twelve Years Later, 2021-

"My dear friend, I am afraid I have bad news," Marina says, tearing up as she tells Queen Soyeon, "Our daughter...she is sick."

"Sick?" Queen Jeon asks worriedly, she and King Yoongi look between one another and their human friends anxiously at the mention of the word 'sick.'

"How so?" Yoongi asks now.

"Well, you know lately Y/n has not been feeling like herself, so we finally took her to see a doctor, but when they did a blood test on her, she fainted, and had to be taken to the emergency room for a blood transfusion. When the doctors in the emergency department finally came out to speak to us regarding her condition, they told us that our Y/n suffers from anemia, and the anemia has apparently been progressing all this time and getting worse. They explained that if she doesn't have regularly scheduled treatments for blood transfusions, she will die."

Soyeon and Yoongi both gasp upon hearing the awful news, Queen Soyeon especially worrying about the well-being of her best friend's daughter. "That's terrible," Yoongi then replies, heartbroken to hear that the one person who managed to tame their son might be dying. "Jimin-ah, Marina, I'm so sorry," he apologizes, "I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now."

"How is she?" Soyeon asks next, needing to know that for now, you were stable.

"She's okay for now," Jimin replies, "but will need lots of rest. We didn't know who else to tell but you; as you are our closest friends. We are so very sorry. We never saw this happening."

Yoongi embraces Jimin in a tight hug. "Don't be sorry. It is absolutely not your fault. I think Soyeon and I will both agree that we do not want you to worry about funding Y/n's treatments, and we will take care of everything. Our royal physicians here can take better care of your little one than the human doctors in your world can. We will make sure that she regularly gets her blood product and has her treatments. Do not fret."

"Oh, thank you, thank you so much," Marina gratefully cries to the King and Queen, never imagining that they would go to such lengths for her only daughter.

"No, hey, stop the tears," Soyeon says now, wiping Marina's tears with the pad of her thumb as Jimin caresses her smaller frame. "You are our best friends. You're practically family. You saved our lives all of those years ago, and now it's truly time for us to repay you that favor. I know we let you know from early on that Jungkook was mated to Y/n and will be with her forever, but this goes so far beyond our promise regarding the protection detail because we love you, and your daughter has always been so good with our Jungkook. We know this is how we want to repay your many years of kindness to us simply for staying loyal friends to us."

"Besides, Jungkook loves your daughter; we love your daughter, and we know that this is what must be done, so it will be done. On another note," Soyeon chuckles now, "we have to have blood anyway to survive in this palace, so it really isn't all that different from Y/n's situation, and there always seems to be a plethora of blood around here on hand, especially for emergencies. This blood must be administered in a different way. So do not fret, we will make sure Y/n's condition is managed."
