Asmodeus rolls his eyes as he discards his human appearance once again to reveal his true form yet again, but not before letting it linger long enough that Jungkook could see it. He turns to Y/n and whispers, "Ah, looks like your little boyfriend arrived earlier than expected, but nonetheless," he turns to Jungkook now, "nice of you to join us, Your Highness." He sneers. "A title that will soon be mine. Did you bring me your father's crown?" Jungkook stands atop the bodies of both demon guards who were now dead, and immolating underneath Jungkook's feet. "Ugh," Asmodeus rolls his eyes, "I forget you're part demon too."
"WHERE IS MY MATE?!" Jungkook roars again, leaving a bright ring of fire around him as his eyes flame red and his body begins to shake with rage.
"Ah ah ah," Asmodeus taunts, "that's not how this is going to work just yet. I told you that if you wanted her back bring me your father's crown. Did you?"
"I did. But not so fast—I want Y/n back and I want you to stop this madness!"
"You want your mate?" Asmodeus shrugs. "Okay, you can have her. She's right behind me." He turns around to reveal the very zombified Y/n in the flesh, her blood-red gown flowing around her.
Jungkook gasped when he saw the state she was in, her normally beautiful e/c eyes now an unnerving sapphire blue, and motionless she sat as he felt his heart break just a little. What the hell had that entity done to you? "Let her go, right now," he hissed. "I don't care what you did to her, but I want my mate back."
"The crown first. Then you can have your mate. An even trade."
"Not a chance."
"Then I guess your mate is mine now. I was interested in the idea of having a queen anyway."
Jungkook's eyes burn ablaze as he screams, "SHE'S MY MATE!" His voice in turn deepens as he can no longer control his fury. "GIVE HER BACK TO ME BEFORE I DESTROY YOU FOREVER!"
"Woah, woah, no need to get...upset," Asmodeus continues to taunt.
"ENOUGH. NO MORE GAMES."
"Then give me the crown. As you can see, I brought your parents here to witness my re-coronation."
Jungkook turns to see his parents bow down to Asmodeus, his father's crown missing (as Jungkook had it with him) and his mother's ruby-encrusted silver tiara torn away from her long, raven hair. Immediately his anger fades and turns into pain, his eyes momentarily flashing back to brown before they land on Y/n again, who still sat motionless against the makeshift throne in the temple. He knew by the fact that her own eyes had changed color she wasn't herself, but it still deeply hurt him to see his mate, his best friend in the entire cosmos under Asmodeus' charms. Jungkook always knew Y/n was fairly immune to most powers of the dead, though his affected her differently seeing as she was his mate, so the fact that Asmodeus could still ensnare her with his own concerned him. He couldn't also be her mate, could he?
