A month after rimuru was taken in by the kamado family, tanjiro, nezuko and rimuru were playing when a wild boar suddenly showed up and attacked. Rimuru fought the boar making it run back to the forest covered in bite marks. Rimuru laughed in victory for protecting tanjiro and nezuko despite covered in injuries, but was scolded later by their mother for doing something reckless and dangerous.
