Cap. 7 Away

Leaving for the villa was not as easy as Eddy thought. They had to leave early and be sure to not make other wolfs see, or smell the presence of the pregnant female.

Brett would have been the one to survey the city as Mo drove the car to the villa. It was not that strange that one of the two went to the villa since it was a place dear to Brett, but bringing such a smelly bomb with them was more than risky.

Brett would have been on the roof controlling the streets until the city would have left place for the outside fields. It was still dark when they set the car blocking all the airways and they directed the engine toward the villa.

Unfortunately for them bringing too many men would have been suspicious so they decided that just Brett would have watched the car from possible aggressors, and he would have done so in his wolf form so that when he was able to run faster than the car if needed.

Despite all the things that could have gone wrong they managed to arrive at the villa pretty early and bring Eddy inside after covering his traces. Ray’s men were already around the place smearing their smell onto the trees. No more than two would have remained in the area after the smell was daily spread.

The villa itself was a place that the Chen’s wouldn’t have gone to but better safe than sorry.

Mo: “Ok I’m going back to the city now, the doctor should be here in a couple of hours and he has the ultrasound device with him, a smaller version but still. Remember to not turn on the lights at night unless Brett is here and don’t go out during the day unless is a real emergency. In that case call using this phone and walk till the bridge, I’ll be there with my car one hour after the call, ok?”

Eddy: “Ok…thank you”

Mo: “No need to thank me…it will be a miracle if all of this will end up well”

Eddy: “A war is never a good thing…”

Mo: “I was talking about the pregnancy…there are very little cases of females in male bodies that were able to give birth naturally…”

Eddy: “The doctor cannot perform a c-section?”

Mo: “Yes he can but here many things can go very wrong like doing it at night and Brett is not here or the water is cut out due to the cold…”

Eddy: “And Lion would have been ready to let me go through all of that?”

Mo: “Yes…he just needed one male from you and since wolfs rarely give birth to just one baby at a time the chances of one of them being male is pretty high”

Eddy hugged himself as his skin itched at the though.

Eddy: “Stupid of me to think that he would have been loyal to me…”

Mo: “You’re smart kid, but yeah I fear you’re right. You were just needed for reproduction, he would have had other relationships”

He smiled faintly and took his way out.

Mo: “Now you’re by yourself until tonight when Brett arrives. I left some food in the fridge, try to not use the stovetop otherwise it will create odour. Have a nice day kid”

Eddy: “Thank you…have a nice day too”

The car turned around and Mo disappeared from his sight.

If he had to be honest the villa was creeping him out. It was big and empty, with many portraits in it and things that were there just collecting dust. Throughout the day he walked around trying to get used to the place and learn the disposition of the rooms. But he was calm just when the doctor showed up.
