     I was sitting in the Hufflepuff common room by the fire. It was snowing outside and that just made the whole of Hogwarts freezing. Usually the Hufflepuff house is cozy but today it wasn't. I had a muggle book in my hand, it was a twisted version of the Peter Pan story. My leg suddenly felt like feathers were brushing up against it, I look down and nothing was there so I went back to my book. I felt the same sensation on the other side and when I looked that time there was a little black creature. It looked to be a Niffler. It looked up at me and placed its hand on my leg. I had a skirt on with stockings, it's little paws almost tore at the fabrics of my stockings. I smiled at it and it crawled onto my legs. They were stretched out so it almost fell into the gap between them.
     "Careful there," I giggled and held my hand out to it. He looked me up and down before grabbing my finger tip and climbing into my hands. It made a little squeak noise when I pulled him closer to me. It wasn't a harmful noise, more so a playful one. If Nifflers could smile, that's what he would he doing right now. It suddenly jumped off of my hands onto my shoulder. I felt it's little hands tickle my neck as it moved around but it stopped on the top of my head. I moved my eyes up to try look at it but he moved his head to peer over and look at me. We made eye contact and I smiled. It just radiated happiness and somewhat clumsiness.
     "Where are you- where are you?" I hear a voice call out frantically. It belonged to a male that I shared quite a few classes with. I make eye contact with him and his face becomes less frantic and more red. "H-hello there-" his eyes flicker to the top of my head and his face widens in confusion. "Teddy!" He suddenly half screamed out. He jogged over to us and this startled both me and the Niffler and he fell off of my head then into my book which landed on my lap. He ended up lying on his neck which didn't look at all comfortable. I turned him upright and he stayed in my hands. The boy was right next to me and when I looked at his face I saw that it was freckled and his eyes were mesmerizing.
     "Newt, right?" I ask with the Niffler looking between me and the boy.
     He nods and then looks back at the Niffler. "His names Teddy," he says quietly. He sits down on my left and Teddy ran under my arm on the right. He practically holds my arm in front of him and peers over to Newt. "Teddy... he's taken a liking to you." I smile at his comment and look at him. His face still red and his gaze not meeting mine.
     "It's nice to be liked... I'm yn ln by the way," I stick my hand out and he hesitantly takes it. His hands are kind of clammy but nothing I don't mind.
     "I know," he quietly said. He meets my eyes for only a moment but those moments felt like forever. "We have class together," he quickly splutters out. I nod at him. "S-Sorry about Teddy, he ran out of my room and I couldn't catch him."
     "It's ok Newt, I don't mind. It's nice to have company," I look down at Teddy and he runs out of my grasp and Newt tries to grab him and fails too. He runs out of the common room and we both stand up quickly. He looks at me, "you don't think you were trying to catch him alone?" I bow my head down a little bit and look at him through my eyes. His melt in flickering through mine to the floor and back to mine. "Let's go, he's probably already ahead of us by now."
     "What if we get caught- we're not allowed out of our dormitory's and common rooms at this hour-"
     "Newt, we'll be in even more trouble if someone finds a Niffler on the loose."
     "We?" I nod and grab his hand to pull him out of the common room and down the halls. He doesn't say anything and let's me lead him. Once we make it to the halls my grip on his hand tightens and I look around the corners to see if any of them are clear. I made a point to only go down the clear ones. As we were in the middle of a clear hallways Newt suddenly stopped. I turned around and he was looking at a shiny little watch on his wrist. I walked towards him and he looked up.
     "Nifflers like shiny objects..." I almost whisper.  I hadn't realized our fingers were intertwined until it was time to let go. My face became red and I snatched my hand behind my back but in an instant I missed the warmth between the two hands. He muffled an mhmm and continued to take his watch off. He walked to the middle of the hallway and placed his watch down on the ground gently. He hopped back over to me and found a broom closet for us to be in. He held the door open and signaled for me to hop in, which I did. It had enough room for my shoulders n but then he hopped in too. It took me by surprise, I will say.
     He started to close the door but he left it cracked over a tad, "I hope you don't mind," he said in a panic.
     "I don't mind at all," I giggled quietly at his words. When I was brought back to reality I realized just how close we were. It was wider than it was longer but I think we would have been stuck if we tried to move. "What are we going to do now?"
     "Uhm- wait, wait until we see Teddy- and," he gulped, "and then grab him." I nod at his words. There isn't much else to go off of so it was a useless question. Id gathered that he was a naturally nervous boy so I didn't take it personally. His breath quickened, it was easy to tell because it was mixing with mine. He was taller than me but lankier than me.
     I place my hand on his forehead, "are you ok Newt? Your warm and your breath has quickened," I ask in a concerned voice. His breath hitches as I grab his hand with my free one. He lets out another mhmm in response. My hand slid down from his forehead to his cheek, then jaw, then his shoulder, and I stopped it there. His breath hitched once again and it's like I could hear his heartbeat, it matched up with the one beating rapidly in my hand perfectly. The moment was broken up by the sound from outside. At first it was clanking, so we looked out and saw Teddy with the watch, but then we heard footsteps. Teddy must have heard them too because he quickly looked around the hallway. I unlatched mine and Newts hands and opened the door slightly and it caught his eye and ran towards us and hopped in the closet too. He climbed up Newts body and latched onto his shoulder and on top of my hand. I could see that he was clinging on for deer life and I could hear his little pants. Newt shut the door fully and was breathing heavier.
     "Wh-" I put my spare hand on his mouth and he looked at me. I could only see his eyes but it was enough. Teddy then took out the watch that Newt had left for him and put it on my wrist. I was about to take it off but Teddy held my hand. I could tell how hot and bothered Newt was. His face was heating up like a Tomato.
