Haley's POV
Oh.My.Gir.It's.Pete.Wentz.
'Stay calm and don't freak out' I commanded myself.
"Hi Pete I'm Haley. It's nice to meet you. I love you and your music" I say hopefully calm.
He grabs my hand, kisses it, and says, "It's a pleasure meeting you".
Brendon somewhat growls which makes me laugh as he pulls me closer to him.
"Brendon..I'd never steal your girl" Pete says getting comfortable before continuing, "so what do you want?".
Brendon replies, "Have any of our albums sold yet?".
Pete stares at him blankly for a long time before falling out of his chair laughing his ass off on the floor. I was pretty freaked thinking he got a concussion or was going crazy. Eventually he composes himself and stands back up.
"Of course dude. 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' is the number one song right now" he says.
"I want to make a change on the album.." Brendon says starting out confident but ending weak.
Pete just smiles and says, "Better do it now before the tour and before anymore copies are made or sold."
Brendon smiles back and quickly drags me into the recording room, sets me on a stool close to a mic, and hands me a guitar.
"Just like this morning" he says giving me a reassuring smile while I take a deep breath.
Pete gives us a confused look through the glass which makes me giggle. I start to do what I've done all day..sing my rendition of Brendon's love song to Sarah.
Pete's POV
I was shocked the moment Haley started singing. She's amazing! I was going to add a little auto tune like the original but her voice and the acoustic alone was perfect. This is the only time I'm actually glad to be sober because I would have missed out on a big opportunity. I'm going to sign Haley to my label!
I look up to see Brendon staring at me with a giant ass smile on his face. I smile back and give him a thumbs up. When Haley finished and they came out of the studio I couldn't help but clap.
"That was AMAZING Haley! If you're willing, I'd love to sign you" I applaud.
She blushes and says, "Thanks but Brendon invited me into his band since Ian is leaving soon".
I frowned and felt my heart sink. I really wanted to get to know her better without Brendon in the picture if you know what I mean. ;p
Apparently Brendon picked up on what I was thinking and says, "Pete you promised me! Now stop imagining MY girlfriend naked".
I open my mouth to reply but Haley shouts, "WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING SONG?".
She looked even sexier when she was mad. I actually blushed a little. Brendon gives me a look and I stick my tongue out at him childishly.
"Ohyeah. I want it sung that way on the album" Brendon says.
I ask too impatiently, "Who's voice?".
They stare at each other for a minute and talk about it.
"I think Brendon should do it..I mean it is his album and song" Haley says shyly.
I nod, turn to Brendon, and say, "Get your ass in that room. I wanna go back to my place and get drunk".
Brendon's POV
I roll my eyes and ask Haley, "Will you play the guitar part? You know it best".
She nods and we finish completely around eight.
