Haley's POV
I went upstairs to get a shower and to just relax for a while. Plus I could go up there whenever I wanted since it was Brendon's room. It's been pretty hectic ever since that night at Barebulb. I felt pretty refreshed after shaving, showering, and clearing my mind a little. I unlocked the bathroom door and walked into Brendon's room with nothing but a towel around me. I played some Green Day from my ipod and sang while I brushed my hair. I was beginning to take my towel off to change when I notice Brendon staring at me wide eyed on his bed.
I quickly grabbed the set of clothes, ran back into the bathroom, locked the door, and leaned against it for a good ten minutes. I finally began to change and looked into the mirror to see my cheeks are a light pinkish color. I couldn't face him yet so I brush my teeth to waste time. My cheeks were back to normal so I took a deep breathe and walked into his room. I saw Brendon channel surfing so I brushed my hair again,put my dirty clothes in his hamper, turned the music off, and got in his bed beside him.
He wraps an arm around me and I lean my head on his shoulder and say, "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were in here".
"No it's my fault. I saw you come in but I didn't say anything because I thought you would of noticed me.." his voice trailed off.
He sounded really upset about it so in order to cheer him up I smile and say, "Hey it's okay. You didn't see anything so it's okay".
"I know. I'm sorry Haley, I really am".
He was still beating himself up about it which upset me. His beautiful eyes had tears forming and I couldn't take it anymore. I got on his lap, kiss his cheek, wiped the tears away, and whisper, "Stop beating yourself up about it okay. for me?".
He kisses my forehead, smiles weakly, and says, "Okay".
He spins my body around so now I'm sitting in his lap and we watch Animal Planet until I hear people coming up the stairs.
It was Eden, Ansley, Najma, and Aysha.
I whisper to Brendon, "Wanna go get a shower? It will help clear your mind".
He nods, kisses me on the cheek, and goes into the bathroom. I finally had some girl time and a chance to clear my mind.
"Wanna walk?" Najma offered knowing that something was up and that walking helped me think.
I tell everyone that we are walking and sent I Brendon a text before we left.
I just started thinking when Najma asks, "So what's wrong girl?".
I tell them all about how I didn't notice Brendon on his bed when I got a shower and that he almost saw me naked and that he's beating himself up about it. I felt tears roll down my cheeks and everyone tried to cheer me up by saying that he shouldn't be that hard on himself.
"He's gunna see you naked eventually" Ansley says.
The thought of that made me blush and I say, "Hopefully not anytime soon. It's only been a month anyways".
Brendon's POV
The heat of the shower was really making my face warm..or was I still blushing? I almost saw her naked and part of me wished that I did. I know it's to soon for that though. This has been the best month of my life so far because of Haley. She is the best thing that has happened to me so far and I don't want to ruin it. I walk out of the bathroom and change into a black button up and red skinnies. I check my phone and see that I have a message from Haley which makes me smile.
Haley: Be back soon :)
Where did she go? I started freaking out and ran downstairs to find the guys and Jordan playing video games.
"Where did Haley go?" I ask sounding very desperate.
"I don't know" Spencer says.
The only thought running through my head was 'she left you'.
I heard the doorbell ring and ran toward the door and look to see who it is first. It was Haley and the others. I quickly swing the door open and pull her into my arms not wanting to let go.
Haley's POV
Brendon pulls me into a hug and practically suffocates me.
"Where were you? I thought you left me.." his voice trails off.
"I sent you a text" I say and he replies, "Yeah but it wasn't specific and the guys wouldn't tell me so I.." I cut off his rambling with a soft kiss on the lips and whisper in his ear, "Thanks for caring".
We walk into the living room and start watching Adventure Time. I notice that everyone had someone to hold except for Zack. I felt bad for him because all he does is protect/babysit the band and doesn't really get to be social. I leave Brendon's side and sit in Zack's lap.
"You look like you could use company...and a hug" I say and he nods.
We hug and end up talking for hours. Zack is a pretty awesome guy once you get to know him and any girl would be lucky to have him.
I look at my phone to see that it's 6:30 p.m. already so I suggest, "You guys wanna go out and eat?".
They all say yes but I make everyone get showers first. That gave Brendon and I a chance to talk in his room privately for a while.
Brendon's POV
"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't know you would freak out like that" Haley said.
I pull her closer to me and kiss her forehead. I love doing that because it seems more meaningful then a kiss on the lips. Although I enjoy those too.
"It's okay. I just thought you were going to leave me forever" I say.
She laughs and says, "How could I leave the most important thing in my life?".
I was happy and shocked at the same time when she said that.
Haley's POV
He kisses me softly and says, "C'mon. lets go eat". I smile, grab his hand, and we head off to Saigon Noodle House.
While Brendon was teaching me to use chopsticks properly a beautiful woman about Zack's age comes up to our table and asks for autographs. She starts to leave but turns around to look at Zack one more time.
I could tell he was interested so I nudge him and say, "Go get her. We can handle the guys".
He smiles, says thanks, and runs off. I thought to myself 'I'm an awesome match maker'.
My mind was still clouded from everything that happened today so I decide to go someplace that I love.
"Hey. I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be back." I tell everyone and walk off.
Instead of going to the bathroom I walk out of the restaurant and take a right to the building next door. It was my favorite place to go when I was ten. I missed it so much...the place where I learned karate.
Brendon's POV
Something's wrong and I know it.
